The R1C1 Wireless Close-Up Speedlight System allows you to totally own the light when shooting macros and close-ups. Doesn't matter what the sunlight is doing. They overpower the sun at close range - giving you luscious black and dark backgrounds so you don't need to perform digital magic in order for your subject to stand out. ISO 100, f/16, 1/200 second at 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm) - no problem! Yes, a bit of weight at the far end of the macro lens - if you hand hold. On a tripod, with or wighout a focussing rail, they do nothing but provide even, smooth, wonderful light.

I use the wireless speedlight commander with my new Nikon R1 WIRELESS CLOSE-UP SPEEDLIGHT SYSTEM and am just getting used to it but I do love it - going to practice some more today.

I use this mainly as a wireless shutter trigger for macro close up shots, however it does work well as a wireless flash trigger.

Great for any type of automatic needs, and the wireless feature makes it ultra convenient as you don't need to be standing close to the camera.

Got this bracket for my wireless mic receiver and SDHC card holder while working with my HMC80. It keeps everything close to the body of the camera but does not get in the way of normal camera use. I like how it also sits close enough that I don't have to take it off to fit the rig into its case.

Tried and tried and tried to get close to the bird nests. Couldn't get enough detail with my zoom lenses. But with the wireless remote I set up the camera and finally got the quality shots I wanted. Great addition to my tote bag. Next I'm going for family portraits.

This ingenious device is a must have if you shoot long exposures. I have always used a wireless shutter release remote, a wireless remote is good to have but the RS-80N3 is even better. I have had occasional problems using the wireless remote with not being able to get the shutter to close once open (mainly due to line of sight). If you are in front of your camera it's great to have, when you shoot from behind the camera it's not so great I have bumped my camera a few times ruining a shot (my carelessness) when using the RS-80N3 Remote Switch I don't have to get close to close to the camera to release the shutter it's a good device to have!
