Verizon Wireless Cold Spring

Last year I took my drone out in the very early New England Spring. Snow, cold. My hands were throbbing in the cold. Although I don’t expect these to keep my digits toasty, I am confidant they will serve the need.

This is just what you think: A cold shoe with a 1/4x20 thread. However, some speedlights, such as the Profoto A1, expect to be mounted in a cold shoe with a spring to stabilize it. This shoe does not have such a spring. It does have a tiny hole that mates with a pin that extends from the A1 body when you lock it, but although that pin/hole connection prevents the A1 from slipping out, it does not prevent it from wobbling a little. This behavior is apparently how it is designed and should not be considered a defect. However, if you want to mount a speedlight that requires a shoe with a spring, you have to go with a differnt product such as a Nikon AS-10 (which is much more expensive).

Sometimes the Super Clamp is a much easier way to position a strobe in a place where a traditional light-stand might not work. Packs easier than a light-stand. Smaller than a Manfrotto/Justin spring clamp, and screw-drive clamp gives me more confidence than spring-clamp for expensive Nikon strobes. Will stand flash on a flat surface if you forgot your Nikon AS-19 foot. On the other hand, Manfrotto/Justin spring clamp has cold-shoe built-in; you'll need to buy cold-shoe or hot-shoe for Super Clamp (unless your flash has 1/4-20 female threads). Solid build, nicely finished, smooth clamping mechanism. Will defiinitely buy more of these, worth every penny. (In fact, Super Clamp is lower cost vs. Manfrotto 175F, but higher than Manfrotto 175 (w/out cold-shoe).) I'm glad to have both Super Clamp and 175F, but it's the Super Clamp that goes in my travel bag.

I've used these on cold days to operated my camera and they also came in handy as a spring weight ski glove! The small was a bit large for me - but they worked!

We are using our new wireless mics for our high school spring play. They are easy for the students to use, and seem to be of good quality. They have worked well with our existing system.

Works great for macro photo with my wireless remote shutter release mounted on the cold shoe

Holds my cold shoe mounted wireless remote to the tripod while my radio flash control is on the hot shoe. Build quality is good and the clamp holds solidly to my tripod.

LOVE this compact cold shoe mount for my RODE Wireless GO setup. Small, unobtrusive, and neat cable channels make it easy to use on any of my camera. While I don't have a second RODE Wireless GO setup (yet), the splitter cable and second receiver slot on the mount is ready for that next step. Great price for a handy tool!

I use this cold shoe extension for mounting my Rodelink wireless receivers. The 6 cold shoe extension fits 2 rodelinks perfectly. Now I can mount all my rode links together and keep them neatly in one place plugged into my Zoom H6.
