We use the Sennheiser wireless system for our News & Weather, and all of our commercial gear (12 sets so far). Though its a great system, the microphones seem to fail very quickly, at least for us. These replaced the original mics and have served us flawlessly. 5 |

I do commercial training videos with a relatively light LUMIX FZ2500 and either a wireless lavalier setup or a RODE videoMic, as well as Manfrotto 128RC QR head, and I just needed something substantial, stable and center-braced. This is perfect. For stills, travel and lighter shoots I have other tripods, but this has already paid for itself in one client shoot, where I needed to move several groups in and out in front of the camera while the back ground remained absolutely static. Rush Videos uses the boom mic for commercial interviews when don't want to use a wireless mic & chance it showing up in the video. The unit is very easy to assemble & break down. The only negatives are it doesn't come with a carrying bag or a mic holder. 5 |

I use the mic with a Lectrosonics wireless transmitter for commercial and short film production. I have purchased a few of these mics for different production companies I work for, and have always been impressed with its performance in the field.
