Got tired of using the router/WAP that Verizon gave me a few years ago. This thing is blazing!

I was about to buy a ring flash;however, I am happy that I decided to go for this more useful product. I am able to use the individual flashes as a ring light and also as off camera units. I can use one on the lens ring and hand hold the other giving me much more light control than having one source at the lens. The wireless feature on my D700 0r D200 makes this unit very easy to use. No extra wires with which to deal. The unit comes with a case that keeps every thing organized. The flashes are easy to carry around. I don't have to carry a SB 600 or 800 around which by the way are compatible with the R1 wireless system. Only the battery is a small drawback. I guess keeping the units small was the reason for not using AA batteries. Not a big deal. I would say to someone looking for a nice closeup flash system. The R1 offers all you need plus a lot more.

I purchased this system to upgrade from my previous wireless mic system. Every part of the deal arrived brand new and in perfect working order out of the box. The deal itself was much better than i found elsewhere for the same items. Would definitely purchase again.

I wanted a pair of wireless lav mics for instructional/advertising videos and/or as a backup solution for live presentations. I got them, tested them, was satisfied with their performance, and then tucked them away. A few months later, I brought them along for a live presentation steaming event as a backup audio solution. As it turns out, they were needed and performed flawlessly for the event. I'm really happy that I picked up a set; phenomenal value for what you pay (especially when B&H runs a Deal Zone Deal on them).

I've owned one of these since I first got my Sennheiser G2 wireless kit. There are times when I don't want to deal with wireless glitches and I want the simplicity of a wired connection. I now own two of these and wouldn't go on a job without them.

This is a great deal! I rent wireless lavs out and these make it easy to have clips ready to go. I love that there are 5 mic clips to a bag. And they are good quality alligator clips too. It is important to use high quality accessories like these things. They may still get lost easily, but they aren't likely to break.
