I bought this head to use with my Sigma 150-600mm sport. After watching photographer Hudson Henry Vblog, I've totally agreed with him so I decided to get it. Trying with this fluid head few times, I really think I make a right choice. I save a lot of $$$ and space in my backpack compare to getting a gimbal. It's very well built and Its movement is very smooth and easy. I like it very much because I can use it either photo or video! However, I wish if it could be smaller and lighter, that is a small negative thing I can say now. 5 |

I saw a video by Hudson Henry (available on his website or Youtubeshowing the use of this head instead of a gimbal type head. I purchased one and loved it. With or without the handle it has been great to photograph birds in flight. It is more functional than the Gimbal and more readily portable. I used the plate that came with it and added a RC-2 Quick Release case to make it easier to mount all my lenses. I also added the Manfrotto 438 Compact Leveling Head to make it simple to level the tripod head without worrying about the legs or the ground. All the parts were readily available from B&H. 5 |
