I bought this equipment as a second wireless micro port, because I was shooting something alone and I had only one audio input on my camera. I put this recorder on the reporter and the real wireless micro port (which I could listen constantly) on the protagonist. I would recommend this tool for everyone, who needs to work quickly, doesn't have a sound person around and doesn't want additional tools, like xlr extension on the camera or an audio recorder. This is not the cheapest solution, I almost went for the smartlav, but this thing looks a way more reliable and higher quality tool. 5 |

The USB3.x port would interfere with the wireless keyboard/mouse signals if it's plug next to the USB3.0 ports, but it's how all PC/laptop designed nowadays (USB2.x ports next to USB3.x ports). Thus the mouse and keyboard sometimes acting weird. So solve the issue, it's suggested to separate wireless keyboard/mouse connector away from USB3.0 port, and this cable is the answer to it. It's a well made cable, and it's long enough to keep the connector far far far away from any USB3.0 ports. I have not experience any mouse/keyboard malfunction ever since. 5 |

This hub is very small which is perfect for me. My laptop has only one USB port so I wanted a small hub like this for when I need my wireless mouse (with dongle), USB drive, and sometimes a USB keyboard. So this tiny little hub stays out of the way and lets me plug in what I need. 5 |

The description mentions that the X-Tap and USB outputs can be used to power accessories simultaneously, but I worried that the regular battery power would not work when the USB port was enabled. Luckily they do! My field setup uses a wireless transmitter that also requires a powered format converter. So the battery powers the wireless transmitter directly and the USB connection powers the adapter. And both run simultaneously for more than three hours. Great purchase. (Will never use the X-Tap port so I can't comment on it's usefulness.) 5 |
