I'm using a fairly heavy combo of a Canon C-300 with a Sigma 18-35mm lens and a Glidegear TMP - 750 teleprompter. That's just under 20 lbs. The Manfrotto head I was using tended to tilt forward or backward with the weight when locked down. The Smith Victor doesn't. I also like the dual control arms and the included quick-release plate. I'm using it in a fixed position but it does seem to pan smoothly.

This Glide Gear TMP 100 Teleprompter is a very solid piece of equipment that does exactly what it's supposed to do - accommodate our tablet as the document source and iPhone 12 mini as the camera (adapter included). Even the carrying case is of high quality! Have already used for auditions and jobs, helping us focus on the script and not worry about eye level. Keep in mind that because the phone/camera is behind the glass panel, sound is affected. Got past this by using a lavalier mic.

When you’re operating cameras and tripods, the most important component is the simplicity and the conveniency and I think that the TMP 100 nails both. I am so pleased and I’m so thankful for such a greatly made product. Can’t wait to buy more.

I purchased the Glide Gear TMP 100 after years of using using a home made version. While it worked in a pinch, I wanted something more professional and less held together with chewing gum and string. This was exactly what I got when I received the Glide Gear TMP 100! Despite the great price, all parts of the teleprompter are well manufactured and the unit attaches securely to my tripod-although I recommend using a heavier tripod-ideally with a purpose-built head for heavier cams. At the same time, the unit has very little wobble on the tripod. I use the teleprompt with an ipad, and a Sony A7III. It can be configured for a mobile device. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Glide Gear's TMP 50 is a small and simple teleprompter which gets the job done. Respectable build quality for the price and a nice travel bag was included.

I'm a novice at cinematography and needed a teleprompter. After researching many different ones, I settled on the GlideGear TMP 100. It is easy to assemble and use. I'm very pleased with my choice.

After attempting to make talking head videos and stumbling each time, I searched for a teleprompter. The real issue was that I needed to create so many takes (because of my inadequate presentation skills) that it took a long time to edit. With the TMP-50 and a app for my phone I am able to make a talking head video with one or two takes, and save a lot of time editing. My Canon G7x fits perfectly and the TMP-50 is easy to set up. Great teleprompter!!
