Verizon Wireless Wifi Reviews

i had an old verizon router in my house. when carona hit all my children and myself were on zoom meetings / classrooms and the wifi could not keep up. i bought this, installed it in minutes and out wifi has been up ever since. blazing fast. all our devices get the speed now that we are paying for. 100/100 mbps. my kids love the fact that it palsy’s music and we love the fact that there is a basic web filter built in to the product that will at least block pornography in case their device filters have a glitch.

I was unhappy with the verizon fios router/wifi coverage so I turned off the wifi and installed the UAP-AC-LITE access point. This provides the coverage I wanted and works great! Thanks, Gordon

Excellent wifi 6e card. This pcie card houses an intel m.2 wifi card. I have a 1gbps Verizon Fios internet plan and was noticing only 1mbps download speeds on my 12 year old desktop using a wifi4 (802.11n) mini pcie card. Instead of updating that I decided to use one of my many spare pcie 2.0 x1 slots by purchasing this card. After installing I omitted plugging in the Bluetooth usb wire to my motherboard as it's too old to have a spare usb header. I went to intel and installed their software to install the drivers using another computer and transferred the executable via USB. After the program installed the drivers I ran some speedtest and I average 450mbps down and 400mbps up in the living room a few feet and a door away from my Verizon 6e router. I recommend this product.

I recently upgraded to Verizon Fios Gigabit service and bought the Verizon G3100 router with WiFi 6 capabilities. Huge mistake. The router worked fine, but Verizon's awful interface and security problems caused huge problems for my business. Long story short - I had to file an FCC complaint to get a refund on my router, and bought this router to replace it. I was nervous because this is not a WiFi 6 router. Well, not a problem. It is every bit as fast as my Verizon router is with all of my current devices. Going forward, there may be new devices that would run faster on a WiFi 6 router, but I've been very happy with the speeds I'm getting on all devices (4 computers, 2 iPads, 2 phones and a variety of IOT devices) with the Synology routers. Where Synology really shines is the ease of setting it up. I unplugged the Verizon router, plugged in the Synology router, followed the easy Synology instructions, and it just worked. I also use Synology's Surveillance Station on my NAS and a variety of other Synology applications, and they all updated port forwarding and other settings automatically. Finally, and where the Verizon router completely failed, Synology has built-in VPN software that was simple to set up and also works seamlessly. Until today (30 Sep), Synology was also offering free VPN licenses for multiple connections. My only regret is that I didn't get the Synology router when I first upgraded to Gigabit service. I'll happily wait for Synology to come out with a Wifi 6e router. I don't know how long that will take, but in the mean time, this router does everything I want and need beyond my expectations.

Wifi gets great reviews for obvious reasons. Great security options and great speeds.

I've had this camera for about a year now and have used it for outdoor photography on climbing and skiing trips where I need something that fits in my pocket. I'm not super camera savvy and so I find that 99% of the time, auto-shooting mode combined with some light Adobe Lightroom post-processing produces exactly the kind of images I'm after. All the 1-star reviews have to do with it's lack of WiFi connectivity. This has nothing to do with the quality of the images produced so these reviews are stupid; I use a card reader and have had no issues. WiFi connectivity with my Mac does indeed not work, but with my iPhone it is seamless when the Canon app is downloaded. I prefer using the card reader anyway.

I did a LOT of online research for a GOOD wifi adapter. I do not like spending a lot on one, but I also hate to have a weak connection. I had bought a wifi card (PCI) for a computer which was dead, and made me a bit paranoid about getting a dud. Also, I had bought a couple of those cheap $10 wifi dongles, and one has worked great, but the other has been a pain and is hit/miss (plays well with one computer, not well with another, needs driver manually installed / reinstalled periodically, etc.). I just wanted something that worked, and worked well. I read a lot of online reviews of some of the more common and expensive usb-wifi adapters. Some looked great at first, high ratings, but as I read the reviews it looked like the negative reviews were real and the glowing 5-star reviews seemed kind of suspect (very general). This one seemed well-reviewed without any significant negative reviews. I liked the fact it was USB 3.0 and could use 5Ghz wifi (both faster than USB 2.0 and 2.4Ghz, I think). I don't know the tech stuff except it performs very well, get noticeably faster speeds than I do with my one good dongle (which uses USB 2.0 and 2.5Ghz). I bought a second one for another computer I built.
