This lens is perfect for moon seeing with a f4.5 8" Newtonian. The whole moon fits perfectly to the edge. The difference between the mead lens I was using and this is night and day. Wow is an understatement. The lens housing is quite large so keep in mind if adding a Barlow. One of the main reasons I got this one vs others is the fact you can use it's threads to add your camera and extensions to it directly which helps with weight and not having a complex imaging train. If your going to use this to take pictures with a t-ring on a dslr make sure to get a m43 to m42 adaptor and 30mm spacer to help with vignetting if your using a fast Newtonian. 5 |
