UV filters are cheap, replacing the lens on your video camera... not so much. I would never leave home with out this product.

With virtual learning, we teachers had to become very creative. As an art teacher, having a camera that would show clarity and could record in high resolution was a must. I continue to use the Solo 8 to record drawing and painting demonstrations. I can record with audio, or without, and import into any video editing software to do voice-overs and add music. This document camera is solid, it is built very sturdy, it does not feel cheap like the two other cheaper cameras I purchased at the beginning of the pandemic that was both glitchy and compressed video causing pixelated images the students just could not see at home. The school purchased one for me and I ended up buying one for myself to record tutorials at home. Definitely, a must-have.

The app is easy to use and both my husband and I can check in on the camera from anywhere. I really appreciate the high quality video stream with very minor delay. We’ve used this camera to check in on our baby while sleeping in different rooms and it’s so reassuring to see him in great detail and know that he’s safe and resting easy. We’ve also set it up as a security camera with the motion detection feature and it’s worked well too. I would love a 4 pack to add a full home video security system to our home.

Just started to use it for our school video camera. This is very safely protected. Will be adding one for my home camera to use in my drift boat when I guide Fly Fishermen this summer.

This clamp works great on any application needed to support your camera or video camera. I have used this clamp at home and on the boat and currently on my bike to video as I bike. Great Product!!!

I use this camera for both family/ home videos and my own personal video projects which are more creative/travel projects. The camera works very well for both applications. It's small enough to carry easily for family outings but also has the features and images quality necessary for more professional use.

I use this to teach online classes from my home office, and it works very well for that purpose. The video quality is excellent for a camera in this price range, and the microphone is quite strong (my students heard the jingle of an ice cream truck that passed through my neighborhood). I don't utilize the optional software for adding animation to images, so I can't speak to that. There is no zoom on this camera, but that wasn't important to me. I simply wanted a quality, moderately-priced, plug-in-and-go web cam, and this fits the bill. I've already recommended it to several of my colleagues.

I use it for my home office. Good sound, good video. The download app for the camera is extremely basic, bordering on not helpful.

I work in a small home office, which doubles as a video studio now that I'm regularly posting to YouTube. There's no room for tripods, so I've had my camera and lighting mounted to a couple of manfrotto auto poles. This was a way better solution than tripods and gave me the opportunity to experiment with placement. But I'm still ducking around my big soft box and moving them is a minor hassle in that I have to take the light down and rehang it. I saw this scissor noon a while ago and thought it could be a better option. When it went on sale I finally bought it. To be headline says it all. I can quickly and easily reposition the camera.. sitting, standing, even yo the side of my desk to shoot b roll. and then it ticks away - with the camera still mounted - and leaves my office feeling almost normal, instead of the weird video junk sculpture vibe I've been rocking. And it's built like a tank. I have no idea how this doesn't cost twice as much. I've ordered a second one for my light. Order it! You won't regret it!
