Video Camera With Mic

Get this when you get a video mic for your camera. It's a must when filming outside when it's windy.

Got this to separate my Stereo Video/Mic from my camera in order to get the mic in better proximity to the sound without the hassles of putting the camera there too. It seems to work just fine with no noticeable degradation of the signal.

Bought this mic to try out after returning my Rode Video Mic Go, which i was rather unhappy with. I use it for these documentary pieces where i usually interview the person that stands about 3 to 6 feet away from me with the mic pointed into that direction. So far? this VideoMicro has exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, better performance than the GO. Not having to worry about the battery is awesome. Just plug it into your camera and go! Great build. Doesn't feel as fragile as i thought it would with the retail price i bought it at. Also comes with a windshield! which is great that you don't have to purchase it separately. Cons? haven't figured out too many as of yet. I'm on my 3rd interview with it and so far, so good...i mean. It does what it says. I'ma happy with it for now. It's better than the built in camera mic.

Every so often I do a video job and need a better mic than the in camera one. This works great!

I use the Rode Wireless go 2 with a video mic on my camera and it splits the audio perfectly.

I am for the most part a one-man band when it comes to shooting video. When I set up a scene I often use a mic boom stand to hold my Rode's Video Mic while I monitor my DSLR camera. Before I purchased this adapter I used the mic handle that came with my Video Mic and the standard mic clip on the mic stand. What a pain that was to keep the mic in place and pointing correctly at the talent. Now, with this adapter I am able to position the Video Mic exactly where I want it thanks to the swivel ball on this product. I especially like that it is well constructed and solid feeling.No complaints with this item :)

I also use the Rode Video Mic and a Sony shotgun mic for video, and the VideoMicro is by far my favorite so far. I plan to travel a lot this year and this will be a great addition to my video kit. It is small, does not require a battery, and picks up great audio. I have not tested it off camera on a boom pole yet, but I look forward to the results!
