Glad to have this coverage for my Viewsonic ProColor monitor. 5 |

I agree with Michael (11-29-18): PERFORM A STAND-ALONE CALIBRATION before a SpectraView II calibration. This should be in the manual as standard. My initial calibrations were underwhelming and just off. I have been using an older model, PA271W, for over 7 years and it calibrated with SpectraView beautifully. After performing a factory reset on the old model, I got the same results as my new model. I then remembered that I originally calibrated the old model with X-rite i1 Display Pro where I had to manually make adjustments in the monitor OSD menu. The SpectraView calibration on the old monitor was making adjustments against previous calibrated settings within the monitor itself. One thing that I noticed on the new monitor was the color tracking got better until about the third consecutive calibration on each profile (photo editing, print standard, etc.). So, I suggest (for your first calibration) to 1) allow the monitor to warm up for at least an hour, 2) perform a Stand Alone calibration, then 3) perform three consecutive calibrations on the profile(s) that you will use. Afterwards, a single recalibration in the profile that you have been using for 30 minutes is sufficient. The upfront time is worth the many years of great performance. One thing to note is that if you turn on OSD locking in your SpectraView software, you will not be able to perform any of the functions in the “Menu” menu. This means that you cannot adjust your displayport settings and other things not related to calibration. Make those other adjustments before you lock your OSD. And you will want to lock your OSD if you have it set to “finger detection” because a wave in front of the menu buttons selects things unexpectedly. If you want to daisy chain your monitor, make sure your displayport version setting (Menu, Video, DP version) is 1.2, and your displayport out setting (Menu, Video, DP out) is on MST. 5 |

This is a great monitor for viewing HDR, with 1000 nits brightness, wide color gamut, great native high contrast, and some help from local dimming. When the HDR is turned on from the windows OS, and in the monitor OSD menu, HDR video really shine (like watch movies in theaters in typical environment lighting). With discount on this monitor, it beats HDR monitors several times more expensive, and even OLED monitors for HDR. However, for displaying the SDR content, the color is overly saturated, especially in the red channel. It needs calibration for color accurate work. It is fine for general usage. The native contrast is great. A major flaw in the design of the monitor is the buttons to change OSD settings. They feel stiff and slow to change settings. Another downside is there's no proper manuals for the monitor even on the official product page. The OSD menu is lack of clarity, why some items are disabled in certain settings are not clear. I have to do my guess. Given the low price of the monitor and surprisingly good HDR performance, it is well worth the money even just for HDR usage. If the design flaws can be tolerated, this monitor is one of the best bang for the bucks with discount. 5 |

This monitor is blowing me away. I used to have to decide between work and play for choosing a monitor, but not this time. The color clarity and accuracy is excellent for my design and digital artwork, pre-tuned perfectly right out of the box. I can finally play in the maximum available frame rates of supported games on my Series X, or even higher on a PC. Unlike a different brand I tried first, this monitor (thankfully) auto-connects to whichever device is in use right out of the box. MSI is quite generous with included cords. There's only one HDMI 2.1 included, but a cord is included for just about every other major port. Though it's obviously a "gamer oriented" interface design, the OSD menu is not overdone and makes perfect sense. It is easy to navigate and key functionalities are customizable. There's extra OSD Gaming software downloads that MSI offers for Android and Windows, but as usual, there's, understandably, no extra OSD software download for macOS or iOS users. Why bother I guess? That being said my Macbook connected right up in seconds via the USB-C port. It is stunning to work with a monitor of this size and clarity and via 120Ghz on macOS. Buttery smooth. Additionally B&H, via FedEx, had this monitor to me, as promised, in TWO days. I would have preferred the contents be obscured for shipping, but it wasn't a dealbreaker with a signature required package. Kudos to MSI for designing packaging that is TRULY protective. (Not so for the previous comparable monitor I had to return to B&H). The box is sealed on the outside and then there's an additional MSI seal to open inside before fully unpacking. There's more to learn, but I am extremely grateful to be able to say "Yes" to such an amazing tool for work and play. 5 |

Bought this model to color match with my 10 year old ViewSonic monitor. Looks beautiful and matches perfectly! 5 |

Needed a larger screen for my home setup and decided to go with this monitor. It's a newer model from ViewSonic and I like that it has a built in docking station so I don't have to think about buying one separately. I also like the ergonomics, which made it easier to get it setup. 5 |

Hard to beat a good ViewSonic monitor. This might be the best value at 1080P 165hz! If it's anything like my past VS monitors, it'll last you 10+ years! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor replaced an older consumer grade ViewSonic monitor. I could not believe how much better my photos look on this monitor. 5 |

I'm a writer so I use this monitor primarily for documents. So, while I can't offer comment on color-related stuff, it's bright and big and clear. I love it. Oh, and I love ViewSonic. After having used multiple different brands of monitors over the years, I've settled on ViewSonic because the quality is consistently good. 5 |
