Viewsonic Monitor White Screen Problem

Needed a larger screen for my home setup and decided to go with this monitor. It's a newer model from ViewSonic and I like that it has a built in docking station so I don't have to think about buying one separately. I also like the ergonomics, which made it easier to get it setup. 5 |

The Viewsonic VG1655 is an amazing monitor. It feels solid and the image is bright, sharp, saturated, and truly gorgeous. The screen's 16:9 aspect ratio allows multiple app windows to be displayed simultaneously while remaining readable, even with the Windows Scale display setting at 100% rather than 125%. The rear has a swing-out support that can prop up the monitor horizontally or vertically. The magnetic snap-on screen protector is actually quite rigid when mounted and should provide ample protection. The included cables should handle any connection scheme. My application is as a part of a telescope control computer that can be taken into the field. The computer is a mini-PC that normally runs off a 12Vdc adapter. The monitor can be powered from one of the computer's USB ports. With a 12V/6000mAh lithium battery, the entire package will run for about four hours. Haven't tried it yet with a 12V sealed lead acid battery, but I suspect up time to be longer. Overall, the package is a bit more cluttered than using a laptop, but the performance and flexibility are greater, IMO. Minor criticisms: 1) the included cables are all longer, thicker, and more rigid than seems necessary, but that might be an advantage for some, and 2) built-in speaker volume and quality are a bit wimpy, but they are included and still consistent with how the monitor will be used. The Viewsonic VG1655 is one of the few products I've purchased that so well exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. 5 |

I've used a 24 Viewsonic VX2452-MH for years to edit with Pro Tools on a Mac Mini and wanted something bigger or possibly a dual monitor setup. I tried a 32 Viewsonic VX3276-4K-mhd but the internal power supply had an annoying hum and the screen just wasn't as nice as my 24. B&H's great return policy allowed me to exchange the 32 for the 27 VA2759-SMH. Although a bit smaller than the VX3276, it's a much nicer screen and almost a perfect match to my older 24 despite this being a IPS monitor and my VX2452 is a TN monitor. Very pleased with the monitor and with B&H! 5 |

I could not be more pleased with this ViewSonic product. The OLED screen produces a gorgeous image. The unit is feather light. The integrated stand is much sturdier than I anticipated. I am finding myself to be much more productive using this portable screen than using the Xybec Tri-Screen that I was previously using. It's simpler to carry; it's simpler to set up, and it has far, far better image quality. In shorter, where has this been all my life? I agree with some reviewers that the cover that comes with the monitor does not readily attach. To protect the monitor when I am carrying it, I am using instead a Ruggard ultra-thin sleeve that I ordered with the ViewSonic monitor. 5 |

The Viewsonic TD1655 worked perfectly out-of-the-box including the touch screen. Didn't even need calibration adjustments. In five minutes I was up-and-running, INCLUDING extended display (it is the upper-left in the photo). If you don't need a touchscreen, Viewsonic has models at lower price points. It fits in my backpack briefcase and my messenger bag and has a protective cover that snaps on magnetically. I had borrowed, tried or bought-and returned four portable monitors, none of which worked without some effort. One didn't work at all despite an hour of trying everything I could think of (and it wasn't cheap). Another required a separate power source - for a portable monitor? Seriously, they expect me to carry another power supply on the road? From those experiences I looked at the specs of a couple dozen more, and then decided to try the Viewsonic TD1655. It is head-and-shoulders above all the others, even ones that were more expensive. The only possible exception was the Lenovo M14. I have used Thinkpads exclusively for years, currently have four between my wife and myself (all Yogas). I really wanted it to be the one, but the smaller screen was a deal breaker. After receiving the Viewsonic I discovered, besides the larger screen, that it had better features and more adjustments. Search no more and don't waffle about a few dollars. This is the only portable monitor to buy. 5 |

I've had this monitor for a year. I work full-time as an editor (90% in Premiere). Having 2160 pixels of vertical real estate is very important in my workflow, and it's hard to find in an ultra wide monitor. Replacing my dual 28 4k panels with this one was a bigger upgrade than I thought it would be. So nice to have no bezel in front of me. Colors are accurate enough for editing and preliminary/rough color work. I haven't had any connectivity issues with my computer going to sleep or not recognizing the display. Everything looks sharp, and the variable refresh up to 72Hz enough for what I need. I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Max, with a mini DisplayPort to full size DisplayPort cable running straight into the panel - not through any thunderbolt hubs or breakout boxes. I have found using Thunderbolt to carry the display signal to be occasionally glitchy over the years, so I have abandoned it to keep things simple and (hopefully) reliable. One caution that others have mentioned: If you are in a VERY bright room, you'll need a brighter screen. My office has lots of windows, white walls, and white cabinets. On a cloudy day, I can work with all the shades open. On a sunny day, I need to lower 1 or 2 of the shades. To me, the brightness is reasonable and the anti glare matte screen is as good as I expect paying this much for a monitor. 5 |

A good light monitor, everything that says the specs work well, I would have liked more if you could focus the focus with the black and white screen, but it can also be done with a lut, and it would be great if you could. move windows on the screen but no, they are fixed and cannot be moved. The technical service and customer service of feelworld is excellent 5 |

I tell all my friends to avoid buying this monitor because as soon as you do, you will want to look at all your old photo edits on it. When you do that you will realize that the things you that were white were really only almost white. The things you thought were black were almost black. The skin you thought was beautiful was actually a bit too orange. All this because you edited on a monitor that was lousy compared to this one. Admittedly the price tag was hard to swallow when buying a first pro-level screen, but having now experienced the difference, I would spend it again without a blink. My customers have taken notice and asked What's different lately? Your photos have gotten much better! It's a painful compliment, but affirms the decision to put a professional quality screen between my professional camera and my final product with customers expecting professional results. If I had to list a negative, it would only be that I have not yet figured out how to make some old ROES programs take advantage of the resolution, so they end up being very very very small on the screen. 5 |

the problem with 43 inch monitor is that it is a bit too big as a pc monitor. the great thing is this model has flex screen feature which can adjust the pc screen size from 43 to 20 inches. as seen on one of the pics, you can reduce the size which is perfect for me. when i want to watch movies, i increase the size to 43 inches. the 4k is super sharp and mini-led screen is bright, colorful and has great contrast. reviewers mentioned the monitor not detecting inputs but i never had issues. it detected the pc and streaming stick that i connected to the 2 hdmi inputs. also use the physical button on bottom of the unit to bring up the input as seen on the picture. overall, i love this 43 g7 monitor. 5 |
