I like Black Pro Mist filters because cameras these days feel too digital and too sharp - to the point of where I think it detracts. It's entirely subjective - and I hate the cliche of saying it's my style but it is. The best way to describe the look of the BPM 1 is it makes your image or video look way less digital in camera. The halation in the highlights is very noticeable and it overall softens the feel of your image or video. Color grading with these filters is still easy, as these filters just changes the sharpness especially with how highlights fall off, and it doesn't quite impact the color itself - with exception to how saturated it is. If you want that dreamy, or incredibly vintage look, then get at least a 1/2 or 1. The filters are relatively inexpensive for camera gear, so give it a shot. If you don't like it for your everyday look, you never know when it'll come in handy for one-off projects!
