Vintage Guitar Amplifier Noise Repair

I have a vintage (1978) amplifier whose preamp isn't working. A local repair shop wanted nearly $200 to fix it, provided they could still get parts. I bought the PP999, plugged it into a line-level input and started enjoying my record collection again! It works well and is very cost effective!

From time to time, I need the use the guitar input of my amplifier for a second microphone input - this gizmo enables me to do that withous issues.

This was for a vintage tripod I had to repair. (Machined a new bolt and everything....) Works just fine and looks good, too. This is a surprisingly nice little ball head. It feels well made, and the screw knobs are comfortable to grip. It pans nicely, and the ball locks down firmly. The plate also allows a few cm of slide forward and back. The level on the plate knob is a good idea, going to have to test that on uneven setups eventually. My ONLY complaint is that the mark for rotation angle is on the back side, for me, if the knobs are on my side of the head. Not worth making a fuss, but it would be better placed on the other side. Overall, I recommend it.

The MM7025 replaced a vintage power amplifier and gave new life to my dedicated stereo system. I have both analogue and digital sources, a PrimaLuna tubed preamplifier and B&W 702 S2 floor standing speakers, and this Marantz has proved to be a fundamental link in this chain. It leans a little to the warm side (which I like) and improved the sound of my speakers, with tight bass, very sweet highs, and transparent voices. At this prices level, I can't imagine anything better. 100% recommended.

I bought a pair of these to use with a guitar amp simulator. They sound great and allow for getting the amplifier and effects tone without having to crank up the volume to concert levels.

In 1969 I saw a solid-body electric guitar with a three-inch amplifier built into the face of the guitar. The tiny speaker was powered by a nine-volt battery inserted in the back of the instrument. Fantastic, I thought, why don't they make a suction-cup amp that sticks onto the face of the guitar? A zillion years later they did and it is fine.

Great mic for any kind of use. Vocals sound great as well as guitar and bass amplifier. I use this mic in my home studio and live performance.

The sound is excellent and it looks amazing with this retro design and guitar amplifier style! 20+ hours of battery charge life it`s truth, not joke!

Very nice cables. I use it to connect a tube preamp to guitar amplifier and they work great. Love the color!!!

I have a small project studio and my main guitar amp is a vintage 1967 Fender Princeton guitar amp. Before purchasing this microphone, I miced it with a classic Sennheiser 409 which records great tone but I wanted something a with a little more high end, enter the MK 4. The MK 4 adds a nice dimension to the 409 and I mix them both together to capture the Princeton the way I want it. It also did not break the bank.
