I just took this on a 4-day backpacking trip in southern Ohio in Shawnee State Park. It performed flawlessly even in the dense forest. I was most impressed by the battery life. I never turned it off day or night for 5 days, and then put it in the trunk of my car without turning it off for another day and a half on my way home. When I unpacked it still had about 25% charge. We also used it for a critical weather report which we needed to determine if it was a good idea to stay out on the trail another day. Overall, I am very happy I decided to get it. 5 |
