Virtual Computer Windows 8

I'm an IT student and I needed more memory for my computer to be able to run virtual machines and do multiple windows. I needed more than my 8G that my computer had. I opened the computer and 10 minutes later I was done.

This really sped up my computer hugely. I sometimes run virtual machines on my computer, and with this my virtual machines run so quickly. It's a big difference from when I had different storage in my computer. One other nice thing is you can update the firmware without Windows. I use Linux, and it really helps to have firmware you can update without needing Windows;

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

I purchased this product to move the Windows virtual machine that I run on my MacBook Pro under VMWare Fusion off my internal storage because I was running out of space on the laptop's solid state drive. While I haven't run benchmarks, it appears it to start up and run the Windows apps as fast (or maybe only very slightly slower) than from the Macbook's internal solid state drive. It is an excellent product for this application.

I'm running a full Windows 7 Parallels virtual machine directly off my JetDrive and I can't really feel any lagging in speed.

Use for Mac Apps as well as virtual PC Windows 11 apps using Parallels. All apps seem much faster than with Intel i9 or Xeon 8 and 10 core processors at similar clock speeds on other Macs. Nice feature is that all my old x86 and x64 apps for windows could be installed and run under the ARM64 Windows 11. My old Mac apps for Intel also run smoothly with the Apple Silicon. Adobe Acrobat running on the Intel Mac was consuming 80GB of virtual memory and was limited by 64GB real memory, causing memory page exchanges with the disk and slow performance. This 128GB memory does not seem to be slowed by the huge memory consumption of that app since it retains zippy performance even after hours of editing.

It is expensive but it is a ridiculous processor and accomplishment by AMD. I am using it in an unraid server and half the cores go to a Windows Virtual Machine for Gaming. I love it thus far.

I could not upgrade the firmware from Godox through my windows 10. So after a computer professional looked over the situation said that Windows 10 would not recognize the upgrade due to the time Godox wrote the firmware upgrade. He used Windows 7 and the firmware upgrade worked.
