Vivitar Dual Mode Digital Camera Driver

You would think that a chunk of translucent plastic would be useless as an on-camera flash modifier. I believe this apparatus works as a light distributor in 360 degrees. I tested this product with both a Vivitar 283 and a Vivitar 285HV on a EOS 5D Mark III. It seemed to work best when I set the camera setting to Av mode at a set aperture rather than in M mode and let the flash do the work. Of course, using a slower shutter speed allowed the available light to "invade" the image and allow more "depth of field" with the allowance of light. In the Av mode, the shutter speed was slower, the IS of the lens allowed for a focused image, and that allowed for the exposure to be "perfect" if there is such thing. I cut my teeth on film and digital follows in the tradition of Adam's Zone System and everything works on digital as it did, does in analog. I was completely blown away to this fact. Extremely easy to learn how to use. Great buy for what you get. Auto is the easiest mode and photos look as any I have ever taken with a digital camera. Love the way you can see the image in very low light. 12X zoom the best I've had in a digital camera. Get a 8gig card and the picture are endless.... There price was the best around. Would definately purchase again.

The Canon PowerShot SD 780 IS has got to be the ultimate high quality really compact camera. The deciding factor for me buying this camera was size. You really can carry this camera 24/7 and get very good photographs anytime everytime. I take almost all photos in available light and the 800 and 1600 ISO indexes generate surprisingly good results. The image stabilization and excellent ergonomics result in sharp photos at hand held 1/8 second shutter speeds! I prefer using the camera in the semiautomatic P mode and take about 95% of my pics in this mode. The automatic mode seems to work ok, but I really haven't used this mode much. As for digital zoom, they should have never included it because the quality degradation makes it all but useless. Obviously, this is true with all digital zoom implementations because all you are doing is reducing the effective sensor size. There are tons of features including an optical viewfinder which is great for fast shots. I've tried most features and everything is generally easy to do, but you should read the manual two or three times if you want to do more than just point and shoot pictures. The only improvement I would like to see on this camera is a faster lens. A f/1.4 or f/2 lens would open up huge new photo possibilities. Some day someone will figure out how to do this and still keep the camera small. But for now, buy it; you won't be disappointed.

Needed to upgrade my former Matrox dual monitor card to support a new 1920 x 1080 display. The product didn't disappoint, and neither did the support. Physical and driver installation was a snap and configuration was easy using either the Matrox Utility or Windows display properties. I had a problem with one monitor not fully darkening when the power saver kicked in, but Matrol sent the latest driver almost immediately - and that solved the issue. When we buy stuff like this - support must be cranked into the value. Matrox supports its products.

I use the Logan Dual Drive Elite Point Driver for installing my prints into picture frames. It works so much better than using push points.

Bought to use in USB class-compliant mode but also occasionally use it with a Windows 11 PC. The USB driver passes all of the Windows Driver Verifier checks. And it works pretty well in Linux, too, though one cannot access all of its features.
