Vivitar Vivicam 12.1 Mp Digital Camera

I own a Leica MP film camera as well as the Leica M11-P digital camera. Thanks to this diopter I can now focus my rangefinder cameras in lightening speed.

I bought this camera for personal (leisure) use. The great things about this camera are that it has 12.1x optical zoom and a powerful matrix. I do not see any deficiencies.

Now that I've been shooting with my Leica M9 and Leica M8.2 Digital Camera Bodies, I have developed an interest in trying film. This Leica MP, fits my needs and interests completely in this regard. My Leica MP, is very well constructed, and it's a camera I intend to use for the rest of my life. Another benefit to me is that I will develop and scan my own film at home; and, as a result, I am learning so much more and developing a greater appreciation for photography than I would have from use of my digital cameras alone. With such reasonable costs and high quality of today's scanners that are available for home use, and film processing kits such as the Tetenal, C-41 Press Kit (also, available from B&H Photo), just about anyone should be able to shoot/develop/scan their own film, and subsquently handle the images similarly as one would do with images from ones digital cameras.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

This converter allows me to use my Vivitar macro lens on my new Nikon D7100 camera. I also have many filters for my macro lens so they now work with the Nikon D7100!!!

This little stick is amazing. I'm using it with my BMPCC 6K which allows me to record 6K BRAW at 12.1 30frames and have 2 hours recording. Amazing... right?! Not only that you can then transfer the drive to your laptop and work straight off it at lightning-fast speeds. Just plug it in and tell Davinci to use as a source and you're golden. It's light as well and can easily attach to your cage or the top of the camera with the included bracket.

With 12' ceilings in my space, the 12.1 Autopole2 was a nice perk. The whole system goes together exceptionally easily (as expected) and the feed on the roller system is smooth and controlled. The ability to take it down in minutes if I need to and to change over to wider (or narrower paper) is a handy perk as well.

Considering the name vivitar from years gone by - was never the top brand but made its name present in the camera business. I bought this bag hoping that it would meet my needs but thinking maybe not. After I received the bag - this bag is great - the photo does not do it justice! I love mine!

You would think that a chunk of translucent plastic would be useless as an on-camera flash modifier. I believe this apparatus works as a light distributor in 360 degrees. I tested this product with both a Vivitar 283 and a Vivitar 285HV on a EOS 5D Mark III. It seemed to work best when I set the camera setting to Av mode at a set aperture rather than in M mode and let the flash do the work. Of course, using a slower shutter speed allowed the available light to "invade" the image and allow more "depth of field" with the allowance of light. In the Av mode, the shutter speed was slower, the IS of the lens allowed for a focused image, and that allowed for the exposure to be "perfect" if there is such thing. I cut my teeth on film and digital follows in the tradition of Adam's Zone System and everything works on digital as it did, does in analog. I was completely blown away to this fact. Enjoy your new toy. This is a PJ's staple for "controlled" flash light!

I am trying to use older Vivitar lenses with my current and future Canon camera's. Bought this as it bridged the gap between the cannon bayonet connection and the vivitar screw mount. Tried it yesterday and it works perfectly. The adapter did get stuck on the camera until I used something to grip the ring better....but that's just part of my learning curve.
