Vlogging Cameras With Good Stabilizer

I use this for my iPhone Xs, as well as a few small mirrorless cameras. It's great for vlogging, for webcams, and is also great as a stabilizer for your iPhone as you gives you a great handle. And since it's Manfrotto, you know it's made to last. Very reasonably-priced too!

Very good feel, and smooth operation. Fits all our cameras. The gimbal moves flawlessly, and the little bubble level thing on the top is very useful. This stabilizer is very compact which makes it easier to use in high-action shoots, but it's also solid enough to do a good job counterbalancing our cameras and attachments. I can't think of anything negative to say about this stabilizer. The cameras we use are Canon T3i and Blackmagic Cinema.

So my first impression out the box was a little underwhelming due to the build quality. It felt very plastic and light weight compared to my manfrotto mini tripod but after actually using it for vlogging for the next few days I quickly changed my mind. The things that I faulted it for were small but beneficial when using it for vlogging. These table top tripods are best when used with point and shoot cameras, small action cameras or accessories. For heavier set ups I would go with the better built manfrotto. One thing that stuck out to me when actually using it vs unboxing it was the notch that is cut out to allow the ball head to go back a lot further than my manfrotto. This allows you to get a few more inches of distance when vlogging. If you are like me and don't like when the camera is too close to your face then this helps. It is a small difference but a noticeable one for me. You don't notice the lack in build when actually using it the way I did. The lighter weight made me feel like I was only holding my camera. On top of that its around ten dollars cheaper than my manfrotto option. Unless your entire goal is build quality or heavier set ups, id save some money and get this one if your use will be similar to mine. So for the price and actual usability I give it 5 stars. Love it. Seeing greater detail when I'm vlogging keeps me and my videos looking good.

Two years ago I made my worse mistake in quite some time - rather than weigh my SONY HDR-FX7 I estimated its weight, over-guessing by 30% (the camera weighs in under 5 pounds). And in doing so I bought the Glidecam 4000 Pro stabilizer, and have never been able to use it with that camera. But now with my purchase of the Camera Weight Plate by Glidecam, I can now use the stabilizer with both my FX7 and my heavier cameras. This simple little device not only saved me lots of money I would have spent on an additional stabilizer, but I can transport one stabilizer for my cameras rather than two or more.

The Revo ST-500 is a well-built stabilizer for smaller cameras. I tested it with my Fuji camera, and after some initial adjustments to get it balanced correctly, it worked well. I believe it will become my go-to gimbal for my GoPro or compact camera due to its portability. The stabilizer is made of sturdy materials, so I expect it to last a long time. It's simple to assemble, and once you understand how to balance it, you can capture steady shots. While I didn't experiment with complex camera movements, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed for basic walking and talking shots.
