In a rechargeable battery the important things are 1. Ability to hold charge 2. Provide the expected voltage at terminals when charged 3. Capacity to hold enough charge (mAhour capacity) 4. Ability to be charged repeatedly When I got the batteries they were not charged but this was stated so I charged the batteries. All 16 charged up and provided expected voltage (actually a little bit higher, about 1.44 Volts). I don’t have a battery tester so I am unable to say if they charged up to expected mAhour capacity. However, since they seem to be performing OK , I will assume they charged appropriately. I am unable to say anything about how many times they can be charged since that is a long term test. Lithium Ion batteries are notoriously mislabeled for capacity. I use these for camera stabilizers and flashlights, and expect performance. This Nitecore battery provides the full labeled current with minimal voltage drop. I have cycled one of my three four times, and performance was fully maintained. The only issue was with my chargers - the batteries would show fast charging, but never quite finish. Removing the battery and reinserting showed a fully charged battery, suggesting an issue with both chargers. Performance is very good. 5 |
