It is an ideal volume control between my mixer and self-powered studio monitors. Nice fit and finish but smooth and elegant in operation too. The single large volume knob is smooth and allows for granular level of volume control. The mute button is a nice touch too. You can see, feel, and hear the German engineering that produced this. 5 |

The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. I use it with my in ear monitors, it allows me to control volume on click Mic and still get a line with my acoustic drums in the ear buds,works even better with my Roland TD30KV when playing live. I do wish there was an on off switch on the unit thou! 5 |

I have two different pairs of monitors. This lovely little device allowed me to run either one or both individually or together as well as control the volume right at the desktop. It works flawlessly and takes up very little space. Highly recommended! 5 |

I use this to control my active mixing monitors and it does what it's supposed to. No noise, a comfortable volume knob, the option of mono or mute, it fits right in. Good quality construction as far as I can tell, so if you need a passive control, this one is worth the money. 5 |
