Warm Wire Wifi Thermostat

Bought this for a wifi thermostat with no c wire. Had it up and running in no time. The screw in option is great to keep it in place

Thermostat was NOT recommended for my 'old' heating system wiring set-up, noting it would probably require a c-wire. After a pretty extensive web search (rather than using the enclosed converter), it was a pretty easy operation (at least for this guy with 'some' experience and a little tenacity) to locate a terminal in the old Aquastat (at least my version) that functioned just fine as a c-wire. Thermostat compatibility with both Alexa and Google Home are both excellent and easy to set-up. Firmware update provided even more features and easy operation for everyone in the home. One of the best tech buys in a long time, especially considering a local gas company $100 rebate! Very cool stuff. Kudos to all at Ecobee.

The set up took a bit because the old thermostat was only 4 wire. Spending a half hour upside down at the foot of the furnace did not make me enthusiastic. However since then great.

We have had a nest thermostat since Nov 2018. It works very well using our programed set back and warm up periods. We also like the setback during our absence. During a weekend outing, and a previous long power outage, it sent us an alarm indicating a problem. During the alarm review it provided a fix, which I was able to complete. All is now in working order.

This is our first electronic thermostat. It's very easy to use, and I love being able to adjust the settings from my phone when I want to warm the house a bit before getting out bed.

this Thermostat was very easy to setup can set with one finger just slide up or down to where you want and walk away its that easy can also setup WIFI very easy to take phone or tablet and set it there wife loves it if you are in bed and forget to set it just pickup phone and set it ITS THAT EASY ! ! !

I changed from the Nest thermostat that I had for years because I was starting having issues with the thermostat from the WiFi ,to the schedule and Google moving everything to the Google Home app so I gave The Ecobee a try and I am glad I did it has working perfectly during the cold weather that we had. I was able to install it easily in 20 minutes even before the house got cold.
