I mainly do landscape. This lens is an upgrade/replacement from my 20 years old 17-35mm f/2.8L. I love all of the new improvements. I didn't use my old lens as much because of the CA issue. Canon seems to reduce CA by a lot in this lens. 5 |

The lens hood is a replacement for a Nikon hood that got knocked off somewhere i Chico CA. This hood is identical to the Nikon hood except for the text written on it. It seems to fit the threaded front of the lens a bit tighter than the original. 5 |

DC Coupler DR-E17 ... attaches to the DC cord of the AC Adapter CA-PS700 ... fitting inside the camera's battery compartment to provide a constant power supply. To counter the negative reviews, this DC coupler fits in the battery compartment, but only provides power to the camera if the CA-PS700 is connected. At first, I wondered how I would be able to power on the camera with the battery door open, much less attach a tripod bracket. However, I quickly discovered that the slide that is used to open the battery door folds up and allows the CA-PS700 to connect to the coupler through the door. This leaves plenty of clearance for Manfrotto and smaller Arca-Swiss plates, and makes it easy to connect/disconnect the power brick and mains cord if needed. 5 |
