Water Leaking From Smoke Detector On First Floor

This is the second Nest thermostat I have purchased along with a Nest Protect smoke and CD detector. I moved my original Nest to replace an upstairs old thermostat when the new 3rd gen Nest came out. The Nest does everything advertised and more. I highly recommend any of the Nest products.

I was worried about it leaking, but I took it when I went snorkeling and although it doesn't look great where it's darker in the water, it worked great. I was able to carry my Cannon around with me and take some pictures while I lounged in the water. You have to make sure there's no droplets on the front of the lens or they'll come out in the picture, but you can see the display fairly well from the back. It's great for trips where they'll be water. Good and fairly inexpensive investment. The picture I attached is one I took with my camera submerged while I was snorkeling. The light was good and you can see the stingray at the bottom (:

I wasn't expecting the clearity. I'd buy another if I lost these. I live on the 24th floor on the water. It's like being in the passing boats--excellent.

The GoPro is a great tool for a photographer’s arsenal. It’s great for when I’m in the canoe and want something that can take water and be dropped on the floor well. It’s full of features and tools that can introduce users to new mediums, or simplify capturing them. I love using it for timelapses and GoPros own TimeWarp. It’s nice for stills in a pinch; especially selfies. I consider it the best camera for every scenario my phone and DSLR shouldn’t be out.

Can I just say Wow! First of all the build quality is exceptional. They are built like a tank. I dropped mine off my studio table onto the hard floor, (probably the first of many drops), and not so much as a scratch. The power will surprise you. I use these in my studio frequently to light up macro and table top shots. Sometimes it's the main light, sometimes is the auxiliary light. The colors are better than more more expensive RGB floor LED lamps. I just can't say enough good about these lights. I would think if you want to use it on camera as a video light, with it's easy on and off switch, you'll be very pleased. Because of these lights I won't hesitate to purchase another GVM lighting product.
