Waterman Expert Matte Black Mechanical Pencil

This thing is amazing. So lovely. So matte. So perfect. I love using this with my Apple Pencil - it’s actually preferable to using pencil and paper now. My only advice would be to make sure that you watch the video about how to apply it - you do not want to have to scrap one because you thought that you could skip the recommendations and go straight to the installation.

Great lead supply for my mechanical pencil. These are very thick and so far, not a single has broken even when I extend a bit. Very happy with these lead refills.

For me, Matte Black is way superior than glossy except when you need the shine.

I’m a long time fine art printing expert, pro for 27 years. I extensively tested almost all available inkjet papers. There is a huge pile of printing tests at the studio. This one is my favorite for many fine art printing for many reasons. The feeling in your hand immediately impress customers. Paper is thick and feel very luxury. The texture is like the surface of a lemon. The finish is not really matte. It’s a midpoint between matte and luster, a unique finish I’m in love with. I recommend to test a sample pack first. It gives very deep blacks, generally a weakness on matte papers. Don’t forget to apply a varnish. Mandatory on matte, since it’s sensitive to scratches.

It's black. It's Matte. It dominates all of the other Greys. Back Off and Don't mess with Matte Black.

Easily, one of the best matte papers for black & white prints.

Good all around ink. I prefer the matte black ink & paper.
