Waterproof Camera Bag For Backpacking

Yeah, it is sturdy, rugged, waterproof, etc. I got the solid red for a backpacking first aid kit - I just filled it with what I anticipate I might need from other kits. Maybe a little heavy for backpacking but I know everything will stay dry.

I bought this camera cause I wanted a Full Frame camera and the size makes it perfect to have in any bag. From a backpacking bag to the trail running vest, plus it doesn't take up space. The pictures that I get with this camera are phenomenal! I have used it from product photography as well as for adventure photography and it is amazing.

This is a great bag for multi day backing trips. It really sits squarely between a traditional backpacking bag from something like Osprey and an outdoor camera bag. That’s something I’ve not seen in an other bag. The detachable “brain” top, the different compartments allowing for light/heavy/light packing, water bladder support, as well as the highly adjustable strap system are all features I would expect on high backpacking bags and are really hard to find on camera bags. I also have an Atlas pack that claims to play in this same space but just doesn’t have the features to be a true backing bag and is really just a nice day hike bag. The camera space is appropriate for multi day trips where equipment is the priority. That said, I can get my whole GFX kit with three big lens so it can hold a good amount. Once I got the strap system dialed in, it carried 35+ pounds really well. For me, the only legitimate alternative to this bag is a “real” backpacking bag with a third party cube added in. The price on this bag is steep, but the alternative is just about as expensive.

Picked this up for backpacking with my 5dmkII and one single lense. Works great and protects the camera in my bag should I take a spill.

I like the way my camera is protected on my outdoor adventures where taking a camera bag is prohibitive -- skiing, backpacking, and bike touring. The standard zoom fits my Canon SL1 nicely, bordering on snug -- a bigger body might not work.

Amazing bag! They really thought of everything. It’s even very nearly waterproof!

This waterproof bag is the ideal accessory for my D90- carried around my neck and worn over the PFD. The camera is then easy to get at when needed and I don't have to worry about serious damage from spray, splash or a unexpected roll while paddling. My kayaking friends think its a must-have item.

I wanted a simple, nice-looking, responsive, waterproof bag for carrying just a camera with a lens attached. There needed to be room for a spare SD card, battery and lens cloth. In my case the camera and lens in question is an Olympus OM-5 (they are all the same size) and Olympus 12-40mm f2.8. This fits perfectly with room for pretty much nothing else - and that's what I had in mind. I'm not sure Think Tank is still making these but they are good.
