I'm usually out shooting just before a storm, trying to capture lightning and clouds. I have found the Waterproof Overboard DSLR Camera Bag to be one of the best investments I've ever made as I value my camera and can't imagine having it damaged from a sudden downpour. There is more than enough room for my Fujifilm HS 20 EXR and compact EF 20 flash unit along with a small charging unit and remote shutter release. I now take it with me even on sunny days as I never know if I'll be going into swap areas, rivers or beaches.

I have only had the A7SIII for a couple of weeks but it has already blown my mind. I can do handheld video of the stars at night! Not only is the sensor sensitive enough to capture starlight, it does so with low noise and smooth stabilization. Unbelievable. I am planning to use it to capture the next meteor shower. As someone who has done landscape astrophotography for over ten years, I am accustomed to keeping the shutter open 20-30 seconds, depending on the width of my field of view and even then having to clean up the noise in post. Now, I can pan up nearby trees to the stars doing video at 24 or 30 frames per second and the autofocus will shift from focusing on the trees to the stars as I go. So instead of taking 30 seconds to get one image, I am getting 30 every second. (A downside to that is that the autofocus sometimes hunts for the stars after acquiring them, so I use a manual focus for astro.) Compared to my A7R4, which I use for large format landscape prints, the level of detail captured with the A7SIII is insufficient, but not many people print as large as I do. I recommend thinking of the A7SIII as a video camera, rather than for landscape, sports, wildlife or other high pixel applications.
