Waterproof Sports Action Video Camera Reviews

Planning to use my video camera for action sports on the beach this will help keep sand off of the lens.

I use this for sports stills as well as documentary video production. Surprisingly enough, it's an excellent action photo camera thanks to the beautifully sharp and high refresh rate viewfinder, amazingly refined grip and build (Sony has made huge strides here compared to precious alphas), an autofocus system that never lets me down, and overall great speed - not sure if it's the small sensor resolution or processor but doing everything on this camera is FAST. If you don't have a need for cropping heavily on your images and shoot any video, this is a dream camera.

Bought this to shoot sports action, primarily soccer. Most reviews I read suggested going for the 400mm for the reach at the other end of the pitch. Thse same reviews also talked about the 300mm being more appropriate for other sports like volleyball and basketball. After some consideration I decided to go with the 300mm and pair it with my 1.4 TC to get the 400+ reach for soccer while keeping the flexibility of using the lens for other close-up action sports.I have been super impressed with the results. Pairing the 300 with the 1.4x TC has not degraded the photos in any way. Still crystal clear and sharp as a tack. The TC also has not impacted the ability to focus quickly. I am shooting at mostly 1/2000 shutter speed and I am getting so many money shots its not funny.I have also used the 300 by itself (no TC) for the same soccer action. Photos are still super sharp and the lens is super quick to focus. The lens is simply awesome. The lens is definintely a keeper and I highly recommend it for action photography.

Action/Sports/Birds

I am using this waterproof remote on my fishing charters. I have the camera mounted on the mast, and when the action heats up... I just push the button and put it in my pocket or setting it down knowing it is not getting messed up. My customers are so happy to get digital video of all their action. I reccomend this with the Pentax camera with the GPS.

I currently video local high school football games for an online sports network. The paning action of the fluid head make keeping up with thw action so easy without any jitter. It is mostly plastic I will see how it holds up to this football season in the cold weather.

I am a professional small commercial video creator. I shoot action sports, commercial work, short documentaries, and weddings from time to time. This slider is excellent. It's easy to setup, very smooth, loads of functionality and expandability, pretty easy to pack, and seems dependable. I'm excited to get the hand crank accessory, and maybe the motorized components eventually. I shoot with a Sony FS7 and Canon DSLR glass. Plenty strong. I also purchased the all terrain feet. I haven't used them as much as I thought I would. Mount nicely to my Manfrotto tripod/head.
