I bought this camera for two things. To video dogs I was grooming and to video dogs I was training. I use these videos for training new employee purposes as well as for the customers enjoyment. I've already posted one on my YouTube channel. It does come with a non waterproof back to the waterproof camera case so you can record sound better. Perfect for what I'm doing. I'm not going to submerse the camera but it may get splashed a bit when bathing a dog. It should be splash proof even with the slotted back on it. I attached it to a chest harness while I was grooming and that worked out much better than a helmet cam would have. You can see clearly everything my hands are doing. And because it's attached to a chest harness it's right under my chin so picks up sound well. Surprisingly it was not in my way at all, although I looked a bit odd with it on. My YouTube channel is petitepetinn. 5 |

It is a really good camera for the size of it! I use it as camera next to my SLR. I also use it as my Under Water camera, much smaller and easier to handle than a SLR. 5 |

I bought the PMW-200 and would not use the camera without viewing this video. Very much so a required video for use of this camera. 5 |

I bought SX 200 at the end of May used it for city and landscape scenes, portraits, macro in the day and night time as well in video shooting. + 28mm wide angle gives you great flexibility especially in architectural shootings, 336mm tele with a very solid image stability is more than I expected in such a compact camera. I am very much satisfied with the lens. + Iso range 80-3200(SCN mode), performs pretty well even at low light (as I usually don't prefer to use the flash). Despite little noise, it is still tolerable. + It is good to have a Manuel Mode, I used and compared SX 200 with Sony DSC W290 and appreciate this Manuel Mode in SX200 whereas W290 is all in auto. + 3 high resolution screen is good enough to check the details what you captured. + Video shooting at HD is also quite satisfactory unless you use zoom. - One of the primary cons of SX200 is digital zooming in video shooting and results are very poor. - Another disadvantage is again about video shooting and it is encoding. SX200 doesn't support AVCHD and therefore HD videos consume too much memory and processor. While I was searching before buying, I hadn't see any specific remark but continous video shooting should better be limited to 15-20 minutes otherwise processor overloads and terminates recording even though you have enough space on your memory card. I'd also suggest to use 8 or 16 GB Class6 memory card. - My final but slight con is the size, this is a compact camera but don't expect a slim point and shoot and might not suitable for your pocket(I'd rather suggest W290 if you can sacrifice from tele zoom and manuel mode). This size con is basically due to powerful zooming capability and honestly not a big disadvantage to me. 0 One of contraversial thing about SX 200 is Flash always opens with the camera but this absolutely didn't bother me at all. 0 I'm indifferent about battery life which is at medium not so good not so bad either. You can go intensive shooting during a day. 5 |

I was the first adopter to the Sony EX1 back in about 2007 in my home market. I've been shooting since 1977. First film, then 3/4 tape, Betacam etc. I thought I knew everything. I didn't. Vortex's Training Video on the EX1 was like conversing with an old friend who knew what he was talking about. I have since purchased the PMW-200. I instinctively understood the 200 after spending so much time with EX1 and EX1R. Even so, after purchasing the training video for the PMW-200 I discovered more cool things about this camera that I had not discovered on my own. Doug Jensen, the guy who hosts the sessions is a great teacher, the segments he designed are especially easy to follow. If you do buy this video I highly recommend you have your camera on your lap as you watch. 5 |

I use these on all of my video camera's. All Canon's (XF 305, XF 705, EOS C-200 and C-300. I am replacing an older version with this unit. The previous unit lasted about 8 years until the Rocker finally died. Have had great success with all functions on the unit. 5 |
