Ways To Play String Instruments No Frets

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

This mic sounds very nice for vocals, plucked string instruments, and woodwind instruments (at least that's what I've tried it on). I highly recommend it!

The beam is great in so many ways. I have a HomePod that I use as my main controller & speaker for music. I also have a Play: 1 from years ago that's been collecting dust in the closet. Until I got the Beam. Now I have the Play: 1 set up in the bedroom, Beam in the living room and HomePod in the Dining Room. It's a wonderful multi-room setup that seamlessly works through AirPlay 2 and the Sonos app. It has really expanded what is possible and generally contributes to our general well-being. We play some jazz music at night in the room on the Play: 1 with a sleep timer, play music throughout the home while cleaning or the Beam sounds great all alone just as a sound bar. People always ask "how come I hear the sound from behind me" the best thing I can say is "it bounces off the walls". It's really amazing!

Great for the price, it's lacking polyphony(you can only play one string at the time), but even by more expensive units that I have (Axon, Roland) that function isn't perfect. So if you are guitar soloist and love to play other instruments, this could be your answer, in this price range off course . Chromatic switch is very helpful if playing piano, accordion or any other instrument that doesn't need pitch(string) bend. I'm connected midi out into Yamaha arranger and there is very little latency. Overall, very happy with the unit.

I play tenor sax and wished I saw a review like this. The harmony portion is based on singer and key of c instruments. Just add two flats to music for Bb instruments in my case and diel in new key for all harmony presets including harmony pedal and it will be spot on. People love the effects it produces. I still have to do my part.

I play and record many instruments and need an external mic for my iPhone. I chose the Rode Video Mic Me for it's price and I'm finding it definitely improves the audio quality on my iPhone recordings.

A great inconspicuous tuner. Easy for you to see and nobody else. A must for a 12 string. No excuse for not being in tune. I’ve got six of them.
