Wd 1Tb Elements Portable External Hard Drive

I purchased two WD 1TB Elements Portable External Drives from B & H. They were recommended by my PC guy so I would have one for ongoing use and another for periodic backup. The drives are easy to use, sturdy, & compact. B & H website was secure & organized. Ordering online was easy. The drives arrived promptly in protective wrap. Thank You, B & H Foto & Electronics

I have several WD Elements Desktop External Hard Drive and all have served us well for backup.

Not turtle hard but semi-hard, the WD 1tb WD Elements USB 3.0 External Drive, fits into the internal pocket of this Case, the other side of the case has a strap and the USB cord fits underneath perfectly. The protection is fine for home and travel, if the unit is going to be subject to hard knocks and bumps, then you may want the Turtle hard type cases.

I use this to transport and store my back-up, WD 1TB Elements, portable hard drives to their off-site location. No worries.

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

Bought for a WD 1TB Elements Hard Drive and it works great. There is about 1 cm of extra space on the short side. I use that extra space for my flash drive.

Use this product as a backup storage. WD Software (Security, Utility, etc.) can be downloaded from their official website. Thus, I don't see a reason to buy this over WD Elements if your choice is 1TB version. WD Elements's maximum capacity is 1TB. Thus, if you want bigger capacity other than 1TB, you have to go with WD My Passport series. Also, I heard people say that the hard drive inside has ONLY native USB3.0 support. That means, you can NOT take the hard drive out and use it as an internal hard drive. (This is learnt from the Internet, NOT unverified by me.)

I bought my first WD 4TB Elements external hard drive about five years ago. It has functioned well with never a problem. I have recently needed more storage space for my photos so I decided to buy another identical drive. I currently have four WD external hard drives all of which have been very reliable.

The WD 12TB Elements Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive gives lots of storage at a very good price. It is easy to use and very strudy. I would recommend it to anyone.
