I have several WD Elements Desktop External Hard Drive and all have served us well for backup.

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

I bought my first WD 4TB Elements external hard drive about five years ago. It has functioned well with never a problem. I have recently needed more storage space for my photos so I decided to buy another identical drive. I currently have four WD external hard drives all of which have been very reliable.

The 4 TB elements external desktop hard drive by Western Digital was an excellent choice for me to back up my new 3 TB iMac 5K retina computer. I have a 6TB WD Elements Desktop and am just about out of space. I bought this as a backup for my photos - and so far, it is great. For an external hard drive that is not SSD, the speed is pretty good. LOVE having 16TB. This is a key part of my tool kit!
