Wd My Cloud 3Tb External Hard Disk White

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

I am using this case to store my WD 2TB My Passport External Hard Drive. The cover is semi rigid which provides some protection against accidentally banging the hard drive, although I would not want to drop the hard drive. It also provides a separate area for storing the USB cable which comes with the hard dive. Very convenient.

I purchased my first WD external HD in 2011 (1TB), my next in 2014 (3TB); 2017 (6TB) and recently 4TB (2018) for my wife's computer. I dabble in stock photography and use these drives for storage. All three of my prior purchases are still in use on 2 machines and have never given me any problems. I purchased this latest drive with the expectation that it will provide the same reliability as previously purchased WD products.

Got this 3TB WD external to replace a 500GB external. Needless to say, in this day and age, 500GB doesn't really get you as far as you would like. It was also a WD Passport, not a thing wrong with it - just not enough storage space. I Travis frequently and need to have all my work and personal docs and files available. This drive fills the bill and more! Zippy fast, lots of room. Great product! I'm sure I'll be getting another in the near future since I do a lot with GoPro cameras and those files can be pretty large. And of course the price is right and you can't beat B&H service!

The external hard drive is a perfect size for my needs while I serve in the Peace Corps. My first WD 2T Passport was so reliable, I felt the need to have a second backup of my computer for any possible just in case situation. It is a true gem!

I love everything about this external hard drive; it's the fourth WD My Passport drive that I have bought. I formatted it for my MacBook Pro and use it with Time Machine. It's fast, compact, it has a large capacity and it looks great. I'll be happy if this unit performs as reliably as it's three siblings.
