This is my fifth WD My passport. I have not had a failure and they are very easy to set up.

I bought this case just in the event that I would travel with one of my WD My Passport hard drives. I use it for my photography hobby as I travel to a lot of dog shows. It gives me some assurance that the hard drive has this extra level of protection.

I bought this case for my WD 4TB My Passport USB 3.0 Secure Portable Hard Drive.� The drive fits perfectly and there is a perfectly sized mesh pouch in the lid that holds the USB cable and drive instruction.� I carry the case in my laptop case with an external DVD drive and wireless mouse.� The case is rigid enough to protect the drive and supple enough not damage the other components.

The case is the perfect size for my WD My Passport, 4TB external hard drive. �There are separate compartments in the case to secure both the hard drive and the USB cable. �I am confident that the hard drive and cable will remain well protected for a long time due to the hardness of the case's exterior. �Just perfect!

I use this case to protect my WD My Passport when I'm not using it. Great fit, not to tight. Clean look. Good Price.

How I use this product: -I recently bought a 3TB WD My Passport Portable HDD. This is how I protect it. I mentioned in my review for the actual HDD that I think it's a good precaution to position the drive in a way where the port is not prone to wiggling when a cord is connected to it. It's definitely possible with this case. I used a napkin to kind of prop the port directly in the middle of where the case opens up so that when there is a cord connected it doesn't bend the port to come out of the case. There's also a packed of silica gel (I always keep with any of my electronics whenever possible) to protect from moisture/humidity. ;D What's great about it: - Hard-shell made of ballistic nylon. Only a few bucks, has a elastic band to secure the drive and also a pocked to store any accessories. Need I say more? They also come in a vertical or a horizontal version, which dictates the direction of the elastic band. What's not so great about it: - It's slightly on the bulkier side. I feel like it could be updated to match the sizes of the seemingly shrinking sizes of portable HDDs, but this will do. Overall: - I used to buy the actual neoprene cases for the WD My Passport portable HDDs, but I think these will be my new go-tos.

This is the second WD My Passport I bought. The texture on the case is good-looking and comfortable to grasp. The actual capacity is 3.63 TB, which should be enough for long-term backup of my videos, docs, photos, etc. It is somewhat disappointing to find that I can't decrypt the drive on Android devices. Overall, the product is good and suitable for anyone with a limited budget and a massive data storage need.
