Wd Western Digital Green Ssd Solid State Drive

I've always found Western Digital products to be trustworthy, from old school mechanical drives to solid state, and this SSD is no exception. Great capacity and good performance at this price point, all from a known, quality manufacturer. 5 |

I have been purchasing Western Digital drives EXCLUSIVELY, after having 12 LaCie drives fail one after another. WD drives have never failed, are easy to install and maintain. After beating the hell out of a portable WD Passport drive, when it came time to upgrade, it was a no-brainer. I have 2 Firewire 800 1TB My Passport Studio Portables. One as my main drive and the other a mirror back-up through TimeMachine. Absolutely no worries and the price can't be beat. 5 |

My current 2TB. Is a WD. It has been great so far and that is why I went again with a western digital. As I backed up, my current hard drive I was impressed with the speed of this drive. It also looks much better in life compared to the pictures on the site. I really wanted the metal edition but since this was the only one I stock, I got this instead not disappointed with the purchase. 5 |

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it! 5 |

Excellent product. Extremely solid. I ordered the 16TB and upon formatting to NTFS it was down to 14TB. Which is a loss of 2TB. Though this happens to nearly all hard drives (external or internal) due to formatting and system files required to run the beast. I haven't had it too long (maybe 2-3 months). Using it and had no problems. Very quick and its not even noisy. I do hear few clicks upon booting it up. But that's all. And I use it as a workstation close by (not stored away in the closet somewhere) and its very tolerable. Meaning it doesn't disturb me noise wise. Hoping this is rock solid drives from Western Digital (shoutout to all you hard workers here that make these) that if goes long and strong (I'm betting) I'm only using Western Digital upon my next needs (upgrades or replacements). I have always used Western Digital in the past. Starting from their Blue lineups and even those remained working years on end. Highly impressed by WD. Thanks! Anyone thinking of buying, don't hesitate. Look up your needed specs and you're fully covered by WD. Thanks again! Quick note: I was always curious as to why the stock photo looked so nice with the big covered gold sticker on the HDD. However, it does not look like the stock photos upon opening the package. It has a smaller gold sticker (unlike the stock photo). I'm guessing for lesser heat dissipation. But still looks good.:) 5 |

Have used both Seagate and Western Digital HDDs in the past, WD has proven to be the most reliable. 5 |

This is my second WD 1 TB drive, and I use them to both store and backup photos from my MacBook Pro (with solid-state storage). Even with lots of RAW files, the transfer rate seems fast. It is small, and easily stored when not in use. There is nothing about this drive that I would change. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this solid state drive as a boot disk for one of my mini pc's. It was a quick and easy install. By putting the OS on the ssd, the pc boots up and starts so much faster than it used to. 120gb isn't a huge amount, nowadays, but it is enough to put most of my regular use programs on and run the peripherals off the external hard drive. I'm currently building a gaming pc and will incorporate ssd boot up in it, for sure. 5 |
