We have had 2 electrical storms that have fried our switches connected to underground network wiring. I have installed these at both ends of outdoor run and have not had any surges since. Seem like they work as advertised. 5 |

I own 2 of these routers, one is in my office and the other is at home. I use both with a Synology NAS (1819+ and 1621xs+). At home I also use a Synology mesh router to expand the reach of the wi-fi signal. The price is an excellent value, it represents not only the hardware (very solid) but also the software side. Synology software is incredible, once you get it up and running, the control software is truly wonderful...by that, I mean the software that runs like a desktop inside your web browser, not the DS Router App which is buggy and more limited (but still useful for monitoring the network from your smart phone). You can install VPN software that runs on the router itself (Synology VPN Plus) and remotely login to your wi-fi router and access files on the network as if you were physically there. Cool! The control software also runs diagnostics and tells you if you have poor cables, bad connections, interference, or other issues. You can assign individual users and control access, add parental controls, etc.. And it all works marvelously. By the way, the mesh works wonderfully, as a true mesh ought to do, it optimizes bandwidth to each device as necessary. You don't have to login to separate networks as you move around, Synology's control software does it for you, seamlessly and with no data interruption that I've seen. 5 |

This new version of the Roku Ultra really does have better wireless connectivity to my home Wi-Fi network. Practically no buffering, and streaming starts faster. The voice remote is also great, and I like how the volume control on the side works without having to set it up with my Vizio HDTV. 5 |

I replaced my original google mesh Wi-Fi network with these. My WIFI speeds went from 40-70 mbps to 400+. In my office i am getting 750 on the node that my desktop is plugged into. I am using the wireless backhaul in a split level house with one node on each floor covering about 3500sqft. I could not be happier with the speeds and reliability i am getting. in addition to the internet speeds, one of the reasons for my upgrade was my LAN speeds. I started hosing all of my media on a local server, and needed enough bandwidth to stream 4k UHD original quality movies. This network handles it without a problem. 5 |

The MR2200ac is another very nice product from Synology. This is integrated with my Synology RT2600ac router to be an access point to extend wi-fi coverage – mesh wi-fi. Setup is almost automatic and took about 2 hours, unboxing to finished. The documented instructions are a bit thin, but the bottom line is to follow the on-screen directions. Starting at my main PC with the router and AP within sight, and logging into to the router’s web page, the router will discover the MR2200ac via wi-fi, handle all the network connections and updates (this took several minutes) and will establish the access point. Then, connecting a CAT6 Ethernet cable to the MR2200ac’s WAN port, the router will think a bit and determine that the connection is now wired – Ethernet backhaul. Checking the performance, full network speed is available between the router and AP. At about this point, the router’s SRM operating system may realize that the versions differ between the units. I was prompted to update, with a window to select the update file for each box from my local computer. Sidetracking, I downloaded each .PAT file from Synology’s download site. Click GO and the SRM will update in each box, taking another few minutes. The final test was then to relocate the AP to another location (on a UPS for reliability), plug in the WAN to my network, and re-check the setup on the router’s SRM. After some handshaking, all was well and I now have reliable 2.4 GHz and 5GHz coverage, with stronger signals and much faster speeds. The Ethernet connection to the WAN port is through 2 switches to the router, with no speed loss. Where I had 25% ISP internet download speed with a medium to weak signal at 2.4 GHz (and unusable 5 GHz) with the router alone, I now have seamless 100% speed at 5GHz. You may finder cheaper solutions, but the easy integration with the Synology RT2600ac adds a lot of value for me. 5 |

We have this switch to provide network connectivity and power up 6 Ubiquity WI-WI Access Points at our law office in Philadelphia. We depend heavily on reliable network connectivity as all of our systems are hosted in cloud. We had Kontech IT Services install/configure it along with other Ubiquity hardware as part of new office setup. Everything is running smoothy with minimum upkeep required. Great price and service from B&H. Thank you. 5 |

While replacing my old modem with an updated model I accidently set a shook through my old Asus Router that apparently toasted it. The only router I could get instore without ordering and having a two to three day wait was Netgear. Installed the competitor’s router that day, within twenty-four hours, my WI-FI network went down requiring a Technical service call. With the help of the Technician my Wi-Fi network was up and running again. However, every other day after that my network would go down, requiring a power-down and restart of the router. A week later I ordered the ASUS RT-AX3000 router, installed it and returned the competitor’s router. The ASUS router was easy to install, has been trouble free and works great. Even has the range to provide WI-FI signal to my pole barn where I previously only a signal using a WI-FI extender. I highly recommend the ASUS RT-AX3000 Router! 5 |

When I set it up and changed the Network Name and Key it automatically discovered all my Wi-Fi users. My cat stepped on the Wi-Fi switch and shut it down. All I had to do was push the switch and it came right back on. 5 |

I have Synology NAS devices and thus expected the management software on this router to be good but it is even better than I expected. For example I can control (block) internet access to individual connected devices such as smart-plugs that I don't want phoning home to China and sending my Wi-Fi password. Can also prioritize some devices to get more bandwidth when the network is busy. So TVs don't buffer streaming video just because somebody else is downloading a big file. Configuration options are good for home or office use and includes security features I've never seen on other routers other than the Firewalla network firewall hardware. Can't comment on Wi-Fi range except that it works great everywhere in my apartment. I really appreciate that it has a tiny physical footprint -- unlike so many newer routers it takes up very little space on my office shelf. I don't have a backup internet provider so I can't use the feature that will switch to another internet source when the primary one fails. Even lets you configure an in-router VPN with free licenses for remote connections to your network. Bottom line it provides more than I need right now but has features I may want in the future, so I'm happy. 5 |
