Weather Underground Big Sky

This was purchased in hopes of night sky images when the weather permits. �It offers a welcome return to full manual function, which (coupled with wide-open aperture at a modest price), makes for easy wide-angle, flash-free indoor shooting in room illumination. �Not much focus range, but this is not an issue. �I will have an elder 40D modified for astrophotography and I'm eager to see what I can shoot.

Excited to use it on vacation to Yellowstone, even if the weather is poor or the sun too high in the sky I will have great photos. So easy to purchase and to know I got a great product. Super fast free shipping. Love the reviews right in the website.

The weather in Chicago hasn't been too compliant, but so far this telescope is proving to be a good choice. Sky Align was a little more time consuming for the third point. The telescope is a good first choice for me.

as soon as i got the filter i had to wait till the weather cleared up from the rain. But once the sky was clear the filter was easy to apply and all the pictures turned out great! only problem i had was that when i want to change filters the little thread is kinda hard to remove but just a little bit of effort and you'll be fine. great product and hope to buy again

Used in UT with big sky and canyons - must have for this type of shooting

Just recently bought this lens for shooting the night sky and I was very impress with the performance. Star Trails and Milky Photos turn up very nice. Vignetting appears to be non-existence.I was thinking between this lens and the 16mm Rokinon (Which also has great reviews) and for only $ more you get the 6mm drop in Focal Length for the 10mm Ultra Wide view. That to be me was the best extra $ you can spend to capture a huge range in a photo w/o getting the distortion of a fish lens (which an 8mm lens will get you).This is a manual lens, but for night photography it really isn't that big of a deal because you'll just leave the f-stop at 2.8 and focus at infinity for best performance.Lens is pretty big for it's size and it does not take lens filters. Given that lens filters are basically unnecessary in the digital world and that this isn't a walk around lens these drawbacks really didn't matter to me.$ for a solid prime ultra wide lens while a canon equivalent would go for $-$. Best bang for your buck.

Big, heavy and expensive - but just the very best. Mainly I bought it to use with my Nikon Z9 for shooting the night sky.
