Weather Underground Carefree Az

I needed this to get my AZ-EQ5 high enough that my refractor would be useable at a comfortable height in Alt/Az mode. This did the trick! It is very stable and raises it to just the right height. It is a f/7.5 5 APO refractor. The standard pier that comes with the mount just wasn't hight enough. I also highly recommend the AZ-EQ5 or 6 for use in AP and visual. It is really nice to have the ability to switch to Alt/Az mode for visual then go back to EQ mode for AP. I have both mounts. And for a mass produced mount they work really well plus you can use EQMOD with them.

I used the backpack version of this bag for many years. Even after years of outdoor abuse, and carefree use, it's still in great shape! The amorphous design allows me to store a surprising amount of gear for a midsize camera bag. Also, I have noticed that if you forget to clip the latch, it won't topple over and spill all your contents when you pick it up. In addition, it's a good looking bag that isn't ostentatious, and it gets better looking with use.

A side benefit, watching the digitized movies is carefree. You don't have the anxiety of wondering how much life is left in the projector bulb. No more wondering if you'll be able to turn the hot bulb off in time should the film jam. No more melted film.

Living in AZ I use a polarizer everyday. Easy to use and well worth the price.

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.
