I have to admit, I do like this, when the weather isn't great. It is a bit of a pain, but the peace of mind is worth it. The plastic window lets me see most of the important things. Works well, and stows easily in a pocket of my camera bag. 5 |

This was the first lens I got as soon as I purchased my Sony FX3. It is totally worth it. Very versatile and reliable. I have used it for photos as well as video and it works just perfect and the focal rate is really optimal for most things. If you are looking to have just one lens, this would be my recommendation. Focusing motors are silent and focus is very fast and reliable too. The weight is good and it is weather sealed so perfect for mild weather conditions. I 100% recommend this piece of glass. 5 |

Yep, more expensive than its F-mount predecessor. Yep, more than worth it. Solid, weather-proofed, laser-sharp, beautiful bokeh. Even though I purchased the Z 50 f/2.8 macro after this lens, I still can't regret getting this one for the really low light that I sometimes am in, and it complements the Z 20 f/1.8 and Z 85 f/1.8 beautifully, especially for an indoor, tripod-less kit. (As an added benefit, these faster lenses really assist the Z 5 focusing in super-dim conditions, and that camera is SUCH a deal/steal!) 5 |
