Weather Underground Sidney Ne

I am an outdoorsman living on a farm in NE Ohio. I need camera gear that stands up to the elements. Snow, rain, stormy weather, and sudden drenching dew while bouncing around in an aluminum walleye boat at night is regular photography for me. I am up to my elbows in Canon gear, but the Pentax K-1 and this lens give me great peace of mind as far as being able to hold up well to the wet. This lens gives outstanding image quality that I did not expect. I have lots of Canon L lenses with which to compare it. In my eyes, the IQ is right on top with the best of them. With internal focus and internal zoom this lens should and has proved itself to me as an all weather lens I can count on.

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great.

We mostly use it to protect our lens for our camera at work, being as we drag the camera through steam tunnels, in mud trenches, inside underground vaults, and through all sorts of other environments. The filter screws on firmly to the end of the lens and protects the lens from scratches, dirt, dust, etc. without distorting any of the pictures.

I use 50+ of these routinely for delicate electronic sensors that are buried underground in very wet Florida environments for over 6 months at a time. I love the color-changing pattern on the exterior of the pack that let's me now when it's due for replacement or refreshing in a microwave. I used to use the metal type that needed to be baked for 3 hours, but those too long to replenish and were small in comparison.
