Weather Underground Snow Depth

The weather was very cold with 5 inches of snow on our annual visit to the B&H main store in Manhattan. While walking to the store I would try to shoot with my regular gloves on, even occasionally taking them off for an especially appealing picture. Spotted these gloves while in the store and had them on before hitting the sidewalk outside. They work like a charm. Best gloves for a photographer I know of. Easy to slip out thumb and index finger tips on either hand. So much easier to shoot and yet hands stay warm. I only regret not having them sooner. 5 |

I use this lens in inclement weather-- rain, snow, cold, and salt spray, dust/sand along w/ the K-5 body. It's small, light and has a great zoom range for shooting while hiking, beach combing etc. Image quality is good/very good, and not just for this class of lens. If a photographer (or would be photographer) can't make good photos w/ this lens he/she should take up some other hobby-- maybe knitting or stamp collecting;)? 5 |

Delivery was delayed one due to weather (snow and wind). However the parts were well packaged. Installation was very easy and the computer performs much faster with the added memory. 5 |

It's very handy to have a remote that can be used in bad weather, dropped into snow, puddles, and so on. The remote works with my K-5. Range seems to be around 15 feet. The zoom button (middle button) activates autofocus, and the orange button releases the shutter. The Fn button does not do anything with the K-5. It's probably worth it to get this remote with the K-5 instead of the non-waterproof one unless you really like the tiny, tiny size of the standard remote. For me, the standard remote was too small, and hard to use with cold or wet hands. 5 |

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use. 5 |

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great. 5 |
