Weather Underground Ward Co

This is a cheap way to keep out of the cardiac ward. My old mount, the CEM25-EC, had a nasty habit of going full-tilt on the RA axis before beginning to move the Azimuth, and that resulted in a couple of collisions of my ASI294 and the tripod leg. So buying this was not an option. It mounts securely and easily (no directions, but you'll puzzle it out). With my longer telescope, a TeleVue 4-inch refractor, the camera still comes pretty close to a tripod leg so I'm not sure I can trust it completely during a meridian flip, but this makes it a lot safer. 5 |

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use. 5 |

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great. 5 |

We mostly use it to protect our lens for our camera at work, being as we drag the camera through steam tunnels, in mud trenches, inside underground vaults, and through all sorts of other environments. The filter screws on firmly to the end of the lens and protects the lens from scratches, dirt, dust, etc. without distorting any of the pictures. 5 |

I use 50+ of these routinely for delicate electronic sensors that are buried underground in very wet Florida environments for over 6 months at a time. I love the color-changing pattern on the exterior of the pack that let's me now when it's due for replacement or refreshing in a microwave. I used to use the metal type that needed to be baked for 3 hours, but those too long to replenish and were small in comparison. 5 |
