Weight Watcher Fitness Tracker

Although the most expensive of the fitness tracker watches, it worth it for serious trackers. Highly recommend. 5 |

I should have bought this years ago. I use it for my Sky-Watcher star tracker. The tripod is lightweight but extremely sturdy. Well made, worth every dollar. 5 |

I use this on my star tracker to allow panos. It is light weight and very secure. I have used other that are now in the trash. This one is a keeper! 5 |

I love this. It is barely any extra weight and gives me the peace knowing that I have a tracker on my camera! 5 |

This ballhead is a great option for tracked astro. My star tracker with no counter weight desires a ball head attached strait to the tracker itself... at 26 degrees (low latitude). This macro ballhead allows me to operate at a much better angle then a traditional ball head (even one with a vertical notch) making this substantially more versatile then a traditional ball head for this use case. Amazing construction, light weight, rock solid hold, and great family owned company!!..... Pretty sure this is the last ball head I'll be buying... ever. 5 |

Sky-Watcher has done a wonderful job with the Star Adventurer GTI. Just don't put a RASA 8 inch on it haha! With its 11 pound payload think along the lines of a RedCat 51. I'm old and weak but with a 40 pound rated carbon fiber tripod, the GTI, a RedCat, an ASIAIR Plus, a ZWO EAF, I can still lift the entire setup with one hand! Though Sky-Watcher says not to carry it around all assembled. Less weight means easier setup and more use. I'm an astrophotographer wanna be and the attached shot was my first light with the GTI, the RedCat, and the ASIAIR setup, AND I was shooting on a wooden dock! I also have a Celestron AVX recently gifted to me. I'll grab this GTI any day over the AVX when ease of use and weight are concerned. There are some small nits with the mount. The only one that irritates (so far, I've only had the mount a couple of weeks) is the polar scope cover. Seems like most screw on. The one on the GTI snaps on and has already fallen off three times. In the big scheme it is a small gripe offset by this being a modern mount, and with the ASIAIR Plus I can control the mount directly and not have to go through the hand controller and have those extra cables around like on the AVX mount. Fully recommended. Just remember that in astro kit weight adds up quickly. Also, the GTI's machining allowed excellent tracking. 5 |

I use this on a 50d. I'm not a photographer, but a bird watcher that likes to photograph them. I was running into limitations with the 70-300IS (non-L)...so went for this. It takes very sharp pictures, great color and contrast. It is a great balance of quality, price, and weight. Weight was important to me, as I prefer to hike and bird watch without a tripod. I have paired this with the 1.4x tc, and love that combo. My keeper rate for bird pics is noticeably higher than before. I chose this lens over the 400mm f/5.6 due to the IS, and closer minimum focus distance, as I like to photograph insects also. But you probably can't go wrong with either. I do notice the clunky sounds of the IS, as others have reported, but it is not a big deal. There really aren't any cons - of course other lenses may have more reach, faster aperatures, or better IQ, but not at this price and weight. 5 |

First, I really don't know where to start. I've only had this scope out a few times due to weather conditions, but it definitely doesn't disappoint! All of the specs, pros and cons are available scattered across the web, but in my novice opinion the scope truly is a Beauty in the Beast. The fit and finish; included accessories like the hard travel case on wheels (you will need the wheels), field flattener, mounting rings, diagonal and spotting scope are all typical Sky Watcher. There is no included eyepiece. I have three Sky Watcher mounts and they all perform flawlessly. All I needed to purchase was an adapter to fit my Nikons. A Canon adapter is included. The Beauty in this scope is in the optics. Stars are unbelievably bright and sharp all the way to the edge of the field thanks to the huge glass up front and the dedicated flattener. The 2 3.4 focuser is very well constructed and includes a built in lock to hold the focus solid even with my heavy DSLR Nikons. The Beast in this scope is the weight. It's a large, heavy scope and a big step up from my WO Z61. Make certain your mount can handle not only the weight, but the bulk when it slews. I added an after market D-bar and handle to the top of the mounting rings just to assist in having a firm grip on the scope while mounting and un-mounting. I have this mounted on the Sky Watcher EQ6R Pro and it handles the weight of the scope and all my add ons easily. The attached Andromeda image was taken with 4 min unguided subs in class 5 Bortle skies on a Nikon D750. The EQ6R and Esprit APO 120 combo is amazing. Secondly, I cant say enough about B&H. I have purchased 99% of all my camera and computer gear over the years from them. Recommended them to others. I have to admit, I've rarely spoken to a product adviser with the exception of my computer purchase, but their customer service is top notch in regards to pricing, returns and fast shipping. Clear skies! 5 |

The tracker works without any weights only with a light load, like a Sony A7x class camera, a VERY light and compact ball head, and a light (and slow) lens, like a Loxia 21mm f/2.8. The total weight must be less than 3.3 lbs, or you will end up ruining the tracker. If you use a more normal ball head and a lens like the Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/2, you will need one of these counterweights. If you use a heavier lens like a Sigma 14mm f/1.8, then one weight is not enough – you will need two. Also, for a Sigma 14/1.8, I would also recommend a support bracket to minimize vibrations, and that would add its own weight. So you will need two counterweights. And lastly, if you want to shoot the Andromeda galaxy with your 600mm f/4, you will probably need three, maybe even four of the counterweights. So buy as many as you need, depending on your use case. The counterweight itself is made well - it's as compact as it can be, without going to heavy metals like lead. It has a nice finish and easy to handle. The screw knob works well. And yes, you can use it to crack walnuts and it hurts if you drop it on your toe. 5 |

The polar tracker came with everything as described, and included another weight that wasn't described in the details, the weight was as handy as many reviews claim, it is needed in some cases, I agree. The instructions have a sticker with the correction. It just works and for me, without a clear view of Polaris, the 3 star alignment works just perfect. It would be nice if B&H include the V-style dovetail for DSLR/Mirrorless users, the Shutter Release Cable, and the 12V 2A (2.1mm plug) Power Supply in the Accessories area for this item and a link to the Sky-Watcher walkthrough of the SynScan app which make it work just perfectly. 5 stars, great polar tracker. 5 |
