I feel confident with the Western Digital name. Had a much older smaller My Book Drive and was reliable. I think this is great reasonably priced drive for the size. Considering a larger one.

The 4 TB elements external desktop hard drive by Western Digital was an excellent choice for me to back up my new 3 TB iMac 5K retina computer. Over the years, after using many different hard drive brands, I settled on western digital exclusively. I've never had a problem with any of their hard drives,which cannot be said for Seagate or some of the other hard drive manufacturers. And it was a great price as well.

This is my third western digital external hard drive. So far they have been good to me, no problems at all. They are fast and reliable. Connection to the drive is strong and holds when moving the laptop around.

Great external hard drive. I've purchased several other brands of external hard drives, and western digital hard drives have always been reliable for me. If you use a mac, you will need to format it, but it's quick and simple.

Western Digital has always made good products. I've never had a problem with any of their USB external hard drives. I store and edit video from this hard drive and it works great. Very slender hard drive but durable. The cost is reasonable for what you get.
