Purchased with Western Digital 4TB My Passport For Mac portable external drive. This fits the drive very well, with enough space inside the case to also hold the USB 3 cable. Case also has an external pocket to hold other items such as USB thumb drives or SD memory cards.

I own five Western Digital My Passport Hard drives I use for backing up my professional photographs. They all have worked perfectly through the years and I would never consider purchasing another brand of hard drive. Western Digital customer service is also excellent.

The Western Digital Passport does not take up a lot of room. The USB 3 works excellent and the 2 TB size should hold just about everything including the kitchen sink. I been user of Western Digital external Passport series drives for almost 20 years until last one went brick after falling from table on carpeted floor. I decided I need something that could withstand minor falls like that. After 2 weeks of almost daily usage I can tell that I'm very satisfied with this drive performance. Both read and write speeds are more than adequate. I don't see any difference in Lightroom performance when I'm working on pictures located on this drive compared to my internal laptop drive. Love it's design too - rubberized on peripheral for shock absorption in case of drops and aluminum core for heat dispersion.

I have been purchasing Western Digital drives EXCLUSIVELY, after having 12 LaCie drives fail one after another. WD drives have never failed, are easy to install and maintain. After beating the hell out of a portable WD Passport drive, when it came time to upgrade, it was a no-brainer. I have 2 Firewire 800 1TB My Passport Studio Portables. One as my main drive and the other a mirror back-up through TimeMachine. Absolutely no worries and the price can't be beat.

A bit bulky but you cannot put restrictions on protection.
