PS... just an after thought to my previous post..but, the Monovid 8x20 works really well with the Orion 2x54 bino with its amazing 36 degree FOV with 2x magnification..using the orion 2x54 to get a general feel for whats out there, then when something interesting comes into view use the 8x20 monovid for closer inspection... such a killer light weight and versatile combo.. the Orion 2x54 offers such an amazingly sharp large field of view from about 25-40 feet to infinity with their individual ocular focusing. The individual focusing of the Orions makes for the most amazing image, especially if one eye is a lot different than the other, like mine are ( which center wheel focusing binos ( evan swaros) have been somewhat inept to provide. The Orions are marketed towards astronomers but do extremely well for nature/bird watching as well. Bonus...The Alpine Innovations Bino Bandit work extremely well with the 2x54s..even when wearing (low profile) eye glasses.. jmho.. 5 |

i'm specifically using it for my Orion 127mm spotting scope (it is the biggest scope you can buy before you jump into a telescope, so its pretty big and heavy for a spotting scope, which was a real concern for me). i use it to look at climbers on El Capitan in Yosemite, so it is pointing upwards at a pretty steep incline on the tripod.... i've had two different tripods and heads in the past, but this one hands down is the best one yet!! i've only used it once since i only got it a couple weeks ago, but i'm very satisfied so far... i was concerned about the weight of the scope, but it doesn't appear to be a problem... i told the sales person my situation and what i need (in respect to a tripod and head for my scope), and he immediately knew what would work.. very happy with B&H.. i've bought cameras etc from them in the past and have always been happy with their products and service. below is a photo of my scope on my new Manfrottos 502AH video heard & MT190X3 tripod. 5 |

The Celestron power Tank 17 Power Supply is being used to power my Orion Equatorial telescope and it works great!...Ample power, bright white light and an addyred light appropriate for stargazing...Highly recommended! 5 |

Not sure why some say it doesn’t work well. It does dim stars, but darkens the background sky to bring out nebulosity. This is my first Celestron product, and it works as it’s supposed to. I hardly think Celestron would put out a piece of junk. I tested the 2” UHC/LPR filter on my AR127, using a 5x Powermate and 40mm and 25mm Plossls to view M42 (Orion nebula). It brought out very noticeably more nebulosity even through a thin veil of cloudy haze a few nights ago. I live 30 miles east of Los Angeles in a light-polluted suburb. Orion was high in the sky and I could barely make out the belt of the constellation. I put the filter on my diagonal (telescope end), and really magnified the image with the Powermate. The high magnification blurred the stars somewhat, but I was interested in seeing the nebula. Actually, the filter is for use with my DLSR (Canon T3) and Canon HD camcorder for EAA (electronically-assisted astronomy). I haven’t been able to use the filter for EAA yet, but the view should be better through a camera sensor than by sight directly. This is because the effects of the narrowband, light pollution reducer filter will be able to allow me to use camera settings that were made ineffective by the light pollution (e.g. at ISO 3200 or 6400). The quality at this price earns 5 stars from me. Those with unrealistic expectations should go look through various filters before making a purchase. This can be done with friends who have filters or at stargazing parties. I didn’t expect a wow-factor with this filter, but was very pleased with its result so far. Thanks, B&H! 5 |

Great for star gazing - can even see Orion’s sword stars. I was inspired to get this while watching Matt Damon use it in the Jason Bourne movies. 5 |

It will fit 3 or more stars orbiting each other into its field of view. Orion's 4 star Sigma Orionis, which has more than 4 stars in orbit, but are too close and too dim to its main giant blue star to see. Like the brightest star in the night sky not a planet is Sirius in Canis Major. Its binary is too close to ever see without an observatory quality telescope. Be that as it may this eyepiece is excellent for looking at star clusters and view the amount of stars in the wide field of view. I use it on globular star clusters. For close ups of the Moon it cannot be beat when conditions are good. I also use it with the Luminos 2.5x Barlow to for close ups of planets and Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks. 5 |

Tried it out on Andromeda and Orion and it works perfectly. I could see both much brighter than my 25mm kelner lens which came with the scope and the eye relief(eye distance away from the eyepiece) is just what people with glasses need when using a scope. 5 |
