I intend on using this lens for some lanscapes as well as under over shots with underwater housing.

Try as you may, you won't find a better lens in this range, at any price. Inexpensive, yes; mostly plastic housing, yes........but the glass is pure Nikon at it's best. Images are sharp, crisp, and display no traces of diffraction. The "P" series of lenses are all superb, and this one leads the parade. Buy one - you'll be glad you did!

Fun lens, I bought it to shoot in an Aquatica housing but love using it for topside shots too!

I purchased this lens specifially for using on my Caon 7D in an Ikelite underwater housing. I am very happy with my purchase. The lens install is a little rough (compared to a Canon lens) which makes it a little difficult installing the lens with the camera in the U/W housing, before installing the lens port.

I used this lens in an SPL water housing with my Canon 7D and it performed flawlessly in and out of the water. There is a slight bending on the edge but it is a FE lens. DUH. I love this lens. Great landscapes!

I had been looking for a lens cap for my Hero 4 Black dive housing for a couple of days. I found two or three ads that claimed to have the lens cap I was looking for only to find that they fit the standard housing. B and H was the only place that I found the actual product I was looking for.

I've known about lensbaby for years, and have watched it evolve - always curious but never felt compelled to give one a shot. I bought this after giving the trio 28 a shot, as I'm now totally in love with lensbaby products. The sweet 35 optic gives a center-focus and blurs the corners. Aperture sets the blur circle and amount. Then you have the tilt function of the housing that allows you to change from center, to the various corners of the frame. The housing doesn't feel too cheap, as it's a combination of metal and hard plastics - It feels more solid and substantial than the canon nifty 50. The images it produces are great, but I am still trying to figure out how to go about shooting with this lens. Do I set the tilt and then find the frame and focus? Or do I find the frame and then shift and then focus? Either way it's time consuming and this lens is best used when you have time to really compose the shots, like portraits. I think for street or quicker paced shooting, the key is to let go of the details and just shoot and be delighted with what you come back with. Fun little lens to spark some creativity.

I used this lens in on my Canon 5D mark I, and was able to fit it inside my water-housing for my camera. I shot surfers and kitesurfers in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. This lens did the job, fast focus, and I am very happy with the sharpness of my photographs mostly shot at a 5.6. You can not beat a lens that shoots this well and is so lightweight.

To me, the fact that the lens housing and mount are plastic is of no consequence (I have a plastic mount Tamrom 70-300 that's nearly 10 years old and still plugs away just fine). Actually, the plastic housing makes for a lighter lens for quick street photog. I wanted a sharp, reasonably fast 35 for street photography, and this one fits the bill. Bought it from B&H because it has a good return policy, in case I did not like the lens. It's a keeper, though. Autofocus is quite acceptable, though I would have preferred manual focus distance settings on the lens, even if painted on.
