Whole House Surge Protectors Do They Work

This is one of the top surge protectors on the market. I had 5 installed at my house. All 5 tripped on July 28 due to a lightning strike near the home.

After a backhoe cut the electrical supply line to my house, surge protectors worked as designed. They were fried, but the electronics were protected. I have no doubt that the Tripp Lite will continue to protect my equipment.

We're protecting all of our office equipment with these surge protectors. They neatly lay flat on the floor or a table and each has a green LED indicator to let you know that the surge protection is still good. We went with 12-foot cords for maximum flexibility, but there are shorter lengths, too.

They are there when you need them, ready to alleviate any electrical surges that might fry your expensive equipment. That said, this product definitely works as advertised and, I think, looks nice compared to other brands surge protectors. Plenty of outlets and having the phone protection is an added bonus m. I have purchased other Belkin surge protectors and I think they are good value for the money. They appear to be well made for their reasonable price. This unit works as expected. The not grounded light informed me that the outlet I was going to plug the unit into was in fact not grounded.

Have used the APC brand of surge protectors for many years and have always been satisfied with them.
