Wifi 500 Range Outdoor Security Camera

I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick.

Love the security features and very easy to setup. A month in and no complaint with WiFi range or amount of devices connected with guests over.

It is weather proof, rugged, durable, and can withstand large changes in temperature. The best feature is that one does not need to have power or WiFi when thinking about where to put this camera. I needed a camera for a situation just like that. The back area of my property does not have a power source nor does my WiFi reach it. I'm using this microSD card on my outdoor security camera, and it's perfect for my needs because it's wearproof and temperature-proof. It came with an SD adapter, which is a great bonus, making it easy to transfer footage to my computer whenever needed.

I've had this camera for about a year now and have used it for outdoor photography on climbing and skiing trips where I need something that fits in my pocket. I'm not super camera savvy and so I find that 99% of the time, auto-shooting mode combined with some light Adobe Lightroom post-processing produces exactly the kind of images I'm after. All the 1-star reviews have to do with it's lack of WiFi connectivity. This has nothing to do with the quality of the images produced so these reviews are stupid; I use a card reader and have had no issues. WiFi connectivity with my Mac does indeed not work, but with my iPhone it is seamless when the Canon app is downloaded. I prefer using the card reader anyway.
